I made a trip advisor account just so I could review this guest house. The owners made our time in Chiang mai as stress free as possible. They helped us do laundry, signed us up for a cooking class and arranged transportation, reheated and served our leftovers from the cooking class, and helped us find a meditation and monk chat...

The hotel is conveniently located - it is just a short walk to many attractions including the old town and night market. The in room air conditioning was good and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Thank you to our hosts for such an easy stay. Our room was facing the street on the fourth floor but very quiet, basic but very clean and the bed comfortable. The best part was the service by our host in setting up a tour for us. we had a wonderful day! Thanks again.

From the moment we stepped out of our cab we were treated like family. Rooms are basic as stated in most reviews but always clean and fresh smelling. The location is fantastic, close to the night market and the bizarre. A short walk in any direction you have restaurants, bars, etc. Bee and everyone always greeted us with a smile...

Basic, clean with comfortable bed. Excellent hosts who go the extra mile for their guests. Everything worked well and breakfast was more than enough. All in all - tremendous value and one of the best budget options I've stayed in.

My daughter and I stayed in this guesthouse during our trip to Chiang Mai. The owners are very kind and helpful answering any questions we had about our stay in the city. The rooms are small, clean, and quaint. They serve a small breakfasts buffet every morning. This place is within a 5 minute walking distance to the night market...

This hotel is in a good location, just a couple of minutes walk from the night bazaar. The rooms are nice and clean, and the breakfast, although basic, is well presented and just enough to start your day. Bee is genuinely one of the nicest people we have ever met, she's always there to help and will always greet you...

It is not a modern place but the rooms are clean with good service. The breakfast has improved a lot since we were here two years ago and with real good coffee. Bee and Son are great hosts doing everything to make you feel at home. Close to the night Bazar. We will be back.

We can't say enough good things about our stay at Vanilla Place. Though the rooms and facilities are somewhat basic, it's the customer service that really puts this place over the top. Bea was incredibly helpful whenever we asked for advice - both before and during our trip. She's very responsive via email, and even when we would show up...

Wonderful, simple spot to stay to really take advantage of all Chiang Mai has to offer. Hospitality is amazing! The team helped us find good food, called our cooking class to make sure they were still coming when they were a little late, and arranged a super early cab back to the airport plus packed us sandwiches and waters for...
