Staff are amazing, we arrived before check in time & was sat down with a refreshing herbal tea. The "Boss Lady" explained everything we can do with a very detailed map (great as it was our first time in chiang mai) She helped us organise a scooter to rent and made us feel at ease handing over our passport to the scooter company. (They were also fantastic-we extended our scooter rental and all we had to do is let the ladies down stairs aware who did all the phone calls for us) People have moaned about the location- ARE YOU SERIOUS!!!! - This hostel is next to many 7/11's... The local food market is a 2 minute walk where you can have lunch for 40bht! - great local food. The Local Thai Boxing is only 5 minutes away (was amazing only 600bht each) with amazing all you can Eat BBQ…
We stayed here 3 nights and asked to leave out big bags here for a week whilst we visited Pai. Nancy the lovely lady who works here said it wasn't a problem. When we returned, we stayed another night. On arrival Nancy was really helpful and gave us a few maps, telling us where is good for food, where's great to visit etc. Her English is very good, and she couldn't be more helpful! All the staff here are really friendly. We paid 500THB a night, room cleaned every day, great aircon, really good wifi, situated just outside the old town so we had to use a scooter to get around or book an uber which wasn't an issue. Highly recommend for those who want a good night sleep.
Was greeted right at the door by two lovely thai women, they speak good english and helped us check in. Me and my partner were quite exhausted after a 10 hour sleeper train from chiang mai so they advised once we've freshened up/napped. To come see them and they would show us all of the wonderful things to do in and around chiang mai, Which they did and explained all sorts of places to eat/visit which was fantastic. The room itself i thought would have Air Con but it did not which was a little bit of bother but we managed. Also i banged my head 3 or 4 times on the bathroom doorframe (i kept bloody forgetting) its very low and i'm almost 6ft so most men will have problems with this.. had quite a headache a few times.. Location was ok we just used uber most of the time it's…
Visited Chiang Mai, Banilah as our second destination as part of our backpacking trip across Asia in June 2016 Location: Located in a semi-quiet area of Chiang Mai surrounded by various connivance's such as pharmacies, Tesco lotus, laundry facilities and the all important 7/11. A short 15 minutes walk away from the gorgeous 'Maya lifestyle shopping center' and the various hipster, niche cafes, bars and restaurants located on the same street. When getting a tuk-tuk from the station to the guesthouse itself it is important to note that they pronounce 'Banilah' differently to westerners so it might be useful to email the hotel before your arrival so you can pre-arrange transport. Room Type: The guesthouse is mostly suited for Couples and families as I believe all the rooms have…
We have been travelling for over 2 month now, and have not yet visited a place as great as this one! We stayed here for 4 or 5 nights. The rooms are lovely, cosy and clean. Best thing about this place is with no doubt the staff. They are so nice and helpfull. The location couldn't be better. I will hopefully get back to this place again sometime.
