Lots of reviews have mentioned the friendliness of the staff but I must mention it too. They are so lovely, and they speak good English too, which is helpful because my Thai is non-existent. For around 900 Baht a night (we stayed for 3 nights) we had a good, clean, decent size double room with air con and en suite shower and toilet, a lovely comfortable bed, and balcony overlooking the river. Breakfast was included; it's fairly basic, but a nice mix of Thai and Western food. What you think of the location depends on what you're looking for. If you want to be in the middle of the backpacker and Western tourist area then maybe this isn't for you as it's around 15 minutes walk to reach the edge of that zone. But if you value your sanity and would like to stay somewhere peaceful but not too far away from the action then the location is very suitable. …
We spent 6 nights here in March 2020 and I can honestly say this is the friendliest hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff were all so warm and welcoming, always had a hello and a big smile. Nothing was too much trouble! The location is just a short walk over the bridge to the main shopping/eating areas. Our room was much bigger than I expected and very clean. Nice breakfast each morning which could be eaten next to the pool. Overall we loved our stay here!!
Situated within easy walking distance just over the Iron Bridge to city centre of Chaing Mai . This hotel has extraordinary staff . Always helpful, kind and knowledgeable. The breakfast was so delicious. Choices were numerous . Very economically priced .. a fortunate find
When we are in Chiang Mai we love staying at Riverside House, it is clean, very reasonably priced, close to the Night Bazaar, with great staff to help make your stay memorable. Breakfast was included and is very yummy!
We recently stayed at the Riverside for 8 nights and thoughly enjoyed our visit, the staff are very friendly and welcoming they always have a smile for you, the location is ideal, right opposite the iron bridge, over the river there are many restaurants to choose from, the breakfast was OK, but nice, the pool is small and pretty cool as it's mostly in the shade, our room was over looking the pool, nice big room, but the bed was a bit hard, overall we would recommend the Riverside.
