A great hotel , we stayed here for two nights and arrived early (6am) we weren't due to checkin until later, but the host made us comfortable by offering us breakfast (tea and toast) which was a nice surprise as we didn't realise this was included, and was included everyday. Breakfast runs until around 12 so no need to get...

- Clean & basic, great location, good aircon & wifi, hot shower, friendly staff. All in all: Good value for money. I have to add: The reception lady with the head scarf was the most kind, warm and helpful person ever - she even helped us with all arrangement to get us to Phuket ASAP. Thank you so much! We...

Firstly the people working here are the nicest people ever. The place itself is basic but clean, good air con, comfy bed and a hot shower. They don't provide breakfast but very kindly put out coffee, tea, toast and biscuits in the morning. There's lockers at the front for free which I recommend you use as in the area there's...

Location: This Budget place is operated by Muslim, located right behind the Mosque, hence it is very convenient for Budget traveler who wants to stay nearby Khaosan Rd. It is just about less than 10 minutes’ walk to Khaosan Rd from Amarin Inn. Also very near to the Chao Phraya River. The guesthouse is located in a more quiet area....

Booked it with the assumption that Bangkok hotels are ok, whatever star rating. Beds stone hard, Noisy, air-con not working properly and not clean. Disappointment and checked out after one night out of 3. Hotel was nice enough not to charge me for the 2 remaining nights. Thanks

This little hostel was a godsent. we had quite a bad experience with overpriced crap hostels around khao san road and this was just what we needed. First and most of all staff was so amazingly nice and helpful! They gave us some water on arrival and booked us to the room. They were really helpful with advise and directions...

Nice quaint guesthouse with very kind and helpful staff. Neat and has hot water/wifi. Is away from the madness of Khao San road, so is quiet at night. Has a nice rooftop terrace where you can sit and relax or enjoy your complimentary breakfast. Only criticism is that if you book a small room, you will be near air conditioning...

After a long overnight bus from Surat Thani we arrived at 9am. Thankfully there was no issue with an early check in which made life so much easier. The staff were so friendly and so helpful. Not the easiest place to find but it's worth looking for.

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighborhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
