Lush greenery and birds chirping is certainly something to tout in a city like Bangkok. The scenery is nice outside but the room we stayed in left much to be desired. For starters, it was quite old and smelled like 40 years of indoor smoking. The room was clean(ish), the bed covers were seemingly clean but again, showed signs of...

We have never experienced a more shamefull reception as on our second visit to hbtp which means we'll never come back. During our trial to check in a man from the backoffice shows up and just lets us know that the staff of the reception is not capable doing the job. No reservation had been made, although I have the...

Myself and the couple I travelled with both had to change rooms, very dirty rooms and very dated rooms. The hotel is pet friendly which is why we stayed but the walled hotel grounds has many rabbits within which isn't a good idea for dogs.

The rooms you stayed in are reserved for those with pets only on the ground floor We try our best to keep them clean but due to the nature of them being pet rooms It's not possible or practical to have them as nice as our other non pet rooms we suggest that you could book a room for yourselves...

(SUBJECT) Peaceful stay Me, my husband and 3-year old daughter stayed here for one night in the Tuck Building as it was close to the Philippines Embassy. About 8-10 minute taxi ride away. I like the environment of the place and as well as my daughter when she saw the fish pond and birds. The rooms were cozy and the...

As the title states, this hotel is one-of-a-kind in the sprawling city of Bangkok. Located in the city center and just a few minutes from the BTS skytrain, it is convenient to travel wherever your heart desires with ease. However, what makes this place so unique is the natural outlay of the grounds. Covered in lush greenery and pond, you...

I stayed here for a few days on a trip to Bangkok. The rooms were clean, the location was great and the staff spoke very good English which helped when I needed directions to visit the sights. For the price I think this hotel is a great place and I'll be staying again on my next visit.

I cannot begin to explain how much we welcomed and appreciated the tranquility and greenery of HbtP. It is truly an oasis sitting tucked away in the heart of the enormous and bustling Bangkok. The room we stayed in had everything we needed and most enjoyed of course was the aircon that worked fantastically well. The staff were all so...

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighborhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.

In addition, House By The Pond has a English Colonial style lounge area for all to enjoy and relax. The atmosphere is best described as being warm, friendly, charming and, above all, homely as all of our buildings are low rise. The architectural style of House By the Pond is truly refine and unique to Bangkok as it is of traditional period style.
