I have stayed at the Citichic Hotel on, on 2 occasions this year, the last being for 3 weeks in Nov..The rooms are very modern, clean & inviting..not to mention the Tea & Coffee facilities, plus a Bar Fridge that are provided for your comfort..
Stayed in 3 hotels in BKK for this visit, The Wendy House, The Furama Silom and Citichiq. This one by far the best! Modern, clean, comfortable with all the little trimmings that ladies like! Great location although it is a 10min walk from the BTS...More
The rooms are absolutely fantastic, modern, comfortable, clean etc IMO perfect.
It cost us €170 for four nights to put that into perspective a private room in a good hostel came in @ €158 & the two are worlds apart.

We decided to stay at CityChic as the reviews were absolutely fantastic, but we were blown away when we actually arrived.
The staff were absolutely fantastic, taking up our luggage to our room and showing us how all the mod coms in the room worked....More
I have been in this hotel this month. The outside of the hotel doesn't show the beautyful inside. The staff is very friendly, rooms are big enough, clean and everything you need is there. The location is far from all the traffic and nightlife noice....More
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's
hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.

Hi Kate, you need to request upon booking a room. If you made the booking already, email the hotel to request a smoking room. The last time I went there, my room was in the first level and the room has a balcony. Maybe that is one of the smoking rooms. :)
