It’s always a pleasure staying at the Baron Zotel. I hotel is very close to many things. You can walk to the Bang Kapi mall or the marketplace to do some local shopping. The train isn’t far from the hotel so you can easily travel around and throughout Bangkok. There are many places to eat at or to take out food and enjoy eating back at the hotel. The staff at the hotel are the absolute best. If you have any questions just ask the front desk and they will help you out with any questions that you might have. The hotel also has English speaking staff that are located in the lobby area. If you want a nice clean and quiet place to stay, the Baron Zotel is there for you to enjoy your vacation, or for you to take care of your business if you are there for work. Try staying at the Baron Zotel, you will not be disappointed.

Hotel is new and the room is considered big. The lights in the room is pretty dim but can open the curtain to make it brighter. There is hairdryer provided. Fridge is big. Bed is comfortable. There is transport provided to the market and is 24 hours, just note down the number and call them. If by walking, need to walk a street down so just make use of the free transport. There is a rooftop bar at level 7. It is very cosy and cool. Overall, this is a relatively cheap hotel and is worth the money.

I booked this place by accident, as I needed two nights quickly and just booked something. Then found out it was far out of the center.

Overall I loved it very much actually. The area is local Thai and tourists can not be found. The area is called Happy Land I think and there are a lot of local (food)markets around. It was great to be here and to experience this. Totally different from my standard Bangkok visits.

The hotel is away from the main road and happy land, about 5-10 min walk or a free electric 2 min shuttle from the hotel both ways.

The room was pretty simple but the price was simple too, so good value! There is a lovely roof top bar with live music and prices are very reasonable with happy hours all night long. Beers buy 2 get 3!

Wifi was not the best, constantly needed to log in, pretty annoying therefore no 5 stars, but 4. For the rest I was very content!

Very far from tourist area. Just to get to Center of Bangkok I pay almost 400 baht one way which cost almost the sane as the room. The market here is local so, it is dirty. Traffic here is very bad you can sit in the taxi for hour and the air here is gray. When I come back from to the room from trip my room smell like shi... I think it came from other room. When I call grab many don't want to come in the morning. Sitting waiting for food outside you can smell hotel toilet drain. No restaurant here just a sign. Yoy can buy 10 baht coffee from thw machine. Check google earth of how it look. This is low end Bangkok that what I think.

The biggest sales point of this hotel for us was the rooftop bar and breakfast, we picked this hotel over a few that had pools for this reason and much to our dismay the rooftop bar has been shut down.. Permanently. The breakfast was also no longer running. The door to our tiny balcony was jammed and couldn't be opened. Our room was tiny, and although the bed was comfortable it didn't make up for the disappointment that was this entire hotel. The staff weren't friendly nor helpful, the air conditioning barely worked and the toilet was so cramped into the bathroom you had to sit on an angle just to use it.
Thoroughly disappointed with this stay and wont recommend to anyone. If I could give a lower rating I would.

I stayed at Baron Zotel for 2 nights in Sept 16'. The hotel is located in the Bang Kapi neighborhood of Bangkok. I would not recommend this hotel to tourist visiting sites in Bangkok or as an airport layover hotel because you are a good distance from both. I was overall satisfied with what I received for the price. However I booked the room through Agoda and the website said I would settle payment for the room at the hotel. Once at the hotel it tries to add on a 3% fee to use a credit card. So bring cash (baht) with you. The rooms are of good size and clean. There is free Wi-Fi but you have to log in each time to use it which is annoying. The hotel is located in a residential area down a long alley from the mall. The hotel offers tuk tuk service from the main road to the hotel. The Aladdin Roof Bar has nice views of Bangkok and the food was good. Other than what the hotel offers for food/ drinks there is nothing else next to the hotel.

Overall Baron Zotel is a good option for the area. I thought it is tacky to charge a 3% fee to use a credit card and not disclose the additional fee until check-in. The customer has to secure the reservation during booking with a credit card.

Arabic-themed BaronZotel is a brand-new property in Soi Ladphrao 117, across the busy road from The Mall Bangkapi. The characterless neighbourhood can be described as "lower-middle class" at best, and there's no star attraction in the immediate vicinity which isn't connected to Bangkok's ever-expanding skytrain and metro networks (yet). So the location is definitely a minus for first-time visitors.

On the positive side, service is friendly, room size is reasonable (despite the sewage smell in the “sexy” bathroom and the lack of bar soap provided), and the rooftop Aladdin restaurant (open 6 pm until 1 am) is superb. I have lived in BKK for 30+ years and honestly rank this restaurant one of City of Angel’s best-kept secrets. Whether you order spicy beef salad, chuchi mackerel or the signature fried larb, you won't be disappointed; everything is so good for you and your wallet! For this reason, unless you enjoy authentic, Southern-influenced cuisine, there aren't many reasons to linger here. I don't mean to say it isn't a nice hotel. It's just that the location is very inconvenient for the average tourist even if the management provides golf-cart service to too-lazy-to-walk guests.

Rooftop bar is permanently closed, the rooms were small concrete rooms and dirty, there was hair in the bed, we booked 8 nights but after 2 we left out of disgust, to get there you have to walk 15min down a dirty smelly alleyway and they refused to refund any money even though I was very polite. No breakfast.huge list on wall with expensive costs for any small mark on anything from face to all the way to fridge. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

This hotel is near the Mall Bang - kapi and they have service car(tricycle) to send you from the hotel to main road and you can make a call when you would like to go back 24 Hours.
The bed is comfortable and clean . The room has good free- wifi. The first impression for this hotel is a snack and fruit juice that they prepare in the Lobby area for every one who come to their place 24 hours.
If you come to bangkok ,this is one of your choice

There is a boat station that takes you to the center of Bangkok behind the big department store on the other side of the road. The boats go frequently during the day, don't know what time the latest one goes to get back though.
