This place has small rooms which are functional but clean and feel secure. Front desk is friendly and, if you look hard, you will see the free coffee and biscuits. It is on a small lane that leads from Ram Buttri street towards the river. Not a bad place... let's say basic-plus.

Because it is located in a small road, there is no noise at all, but just walk 3 minutes and you are in the area with shops, restaurants, bars,... and near Khaosan Road. In addition you have all services : travel booking, currency exchange at good rates,.. The staff is also very nice. You do not have safe in the...

Stayed here for 3 nights on the first leg of travelling around Thailand, very good stay. Had twin room on the 5 th floor (no lift so the stairs were a killer). Price was good and room was simple. It also had air conditioning which is a must in Bangkok. Shower was very powerful. Maid service came every day with...

What can you ask more for $18 a night? Location is perfect...., clean and friendly staff. Small room with comfortable bed, clean bathroom and hot water shower. If you're picky please go ahead and pay $200 or more and stop complaining about tv not running or slow wifi (like other reviewers on here).

We stayed at the hotel a couple of nights during our vacation to Thailand. It is located near Khaosan road in Bangkok but not in the middle of the noise. The service is good and the price is very reasonable for what you get, although the rooms are somewhat smallish. The wifi was so so in the room and ok...

Just 7 minutes walking from Kaosan Road but in quiet place so you don't get the noise of partying. Also the place is near Chao Phraya river. It's a clean hostel and has 24 hours reception. We will repeat.

Over the last few months of travelling when we have stopped over in Bangkok we have stayed at Erawan House and had no issues. The first couple of times we simply turned up and booked a room for 600 baht a night with aircon. It is a standard room however the location is good and you won't be disturbed by...

The location of this place is ideal. Away from the noisy street but still close to it. Its walking distance from khao san as well as the pier. Helpful staff and a good stay overall. Clean rooms and staff know english so it helps.

My teenage son Alex and I checked into Erawan House for seven nights, kicking off the start of our month's holiday in Thailand. I was eager for him to capture the sights, sounds and smells of this exciting, exhilarating and vibrant city with its amazing nightlife – but, just as importantly, I wanted him to have good night's sleep so...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighborhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
