The location was either really great or terrible depending on what you came to Bangkok for and what you are into. The price was reasonable for this area and the rooms were clean which are critical. The rooms were small however, and the windows thin... it was incredibly noisy. This is a hugely touristy and loud part of Bangkok. That...

We booked this hotel before visiting on the recommendation of friends and stayed for three nights, it certainly served the purpose. Plenty too choose from at breakfast, the bar was nice and comfortable and a great place to people watch as this road is quite busy with passers by. Not much traffic only the odd taxi goes down this one...

Great location but very very noisy. Rooms are very basic and very small. Bathroom is strange in that the shower is at the entrance to the bathroom and I mean right at the entrance of the bathroom. No space to put anything and was nothing like the pictures when booking. Choose another hotel.

This hotel is right in the heart of all the hussle and bussle of old town Bangkok, where ever you need to go there is a Taxi, Tuk Tuk, taxi motorbike or boat, the river and pier 5 is really close, from here you can discover so much and on the boat with the orange flag it's only 14bht pp,...

We stayed here for our last two nights back in Bangkok. It is good value and a great location for visiting the Grand Palace and areas around it. It is clean, good value and close to bars and restaurants. The only downside is that you will here the noise from the bars- that said I fell asleep!

If you want to sleep do NOT stay here! Our room was far from the bar next door but loud music could still be heard. Nowhere escapes the noise. The staff were exceptionally unhelpful - we asked for towels to put over the window to block the sound- they first refused then ignored us. We decided to leave and stay elsewhere...

A good option on the soi. Clean and comfortable and when I stayed quiet although the soi itself can get noisy. Would use again. Set over 5 floors it seemed busy which is usually a good sign. Cheaper options include shared bathrooms.

I've been stayed 3 times here. Rambuttri House was very clean, helpful and friendly staff, large bathroom, bed was okay, great location. Many food vendors around this area. Don't forget to ask "the quite room" to avoid music from outside bars. Worth the money.

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighborhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
