Good location in Siam - many 7Elevens in the street good, foodcatrs etc10 min walk to MBK, Paragon etc- this though is probably the only plus for the hotel. Other reviews noted it's in a deserted road - not true it simply is a standard back street in Bangkok that is gritty but we felt safe enough. Interior decorating is... More

The staff were terrific but the accomodation was extremely dated and dusty. The first room I was taken to (which was supposed to be a superior room) was small and dingy, it had a bathroom as big as a wardrobe, no wardrobe, the curtains were hanging by three hooks. The room was just dreadful. I called reception immediately and asked... More

We spent two nights at Diamond city hotel in January 2012. We (or actually our taxidriver) had some problems finding the hotel, since it's situated in a backstreet. The hotel is a bit used, but our room was tidy and clean and the breakfast was small but enough. Front office staff was efficient and serviceminded. As other people has mentioned,... More

The hotel is run down and something or the other creaks making my wife believe its haunted by ghosts. No coffee in room. The safe was locked and unusable. Breakfast is so so. No drinks in minibar. There are better hotels in the vicinity which are better.

Our scammer travel agent in Bangkok (ITAT) put us in this hotel. Otherwise I would not have stayed here unless you paid me. Their standard room is windowless and the headboard had been torn off the wall and left only the mounting holes. The in room lights only worked when they were in the mood. It is located in a... We stayed in Diamond City hotel for 2 nights. I received 2 superior rooms, which I hoped to be connected but they were opposite each other. Rooms are simple and quit run-down but OK for short stay.TV had mainly Thai channels but no CNN, BBC or other western English channels. Rooms had AC, but in one of them the fan... More

The hotel looks pretty on the inside and the rooms are nice. No use taking a room with a balcony, because you are overlooking a very smelly and dirty part of Bangkok. It is a great place to stay because it is very close to MBK where all your shopping takes place and also close to the Sky Train that... More

Where to even start... 1. THE DESK STAFF CANNOT BE TRUSTED! The staff are touts, working in cahoots with some of the Tuk Tuk/Taxi scammers and the bogus travel agents who pose as the government tourist authority (TAT) to try and rip off tourists. If you are taken to a travel agent that claims they are the government authority and... More

This hotel is perfect.. about a 20 min tax from the Air Asia Airport. When you arrive they greet you with smiles complementary juice and fruit. Our book In was quick and fast (and painless) and I would recommend this place to anyone on a budget
