I was after something cheap on my last day in Thailand, and after seeing good reviews, decided to try's hostel for the first time. Of course it was very cheap! 200THB for a 4 bed female dorm. I arrived early, and was offered to wait or come back at 2pm which I expected- however the hostel didn't seem busy at...

I stayed here about 18 months ago and again the last few nights. It's a bit run down since last time (some tiles in some bathrooms need to be replaced, the yellow doors look a bit grimy) but it's still very clean. Staff were super helpful though a bit late to start and on long breaks. No privacy curtains. Wifi...

After waking up with red itchy bumbs all over my body, I saw two bedbugs in my sheets, I killed one and took a photo of it and showed the reception the next morning. And they didn't even apologize for it... They just said: "we'll let the maid clean your sheets". No refund nothing, not even to get my washing...

Great hostel with comfortable beds, air conditioning, and clean toilets and showers. Location is not particularly central, but is in a nice part of Bangkok which feels very safe. Would also recommend the restaurant a couple of doors down called 'Naga Cafe'-their food was great and reasonably priced.

I stayed here my first night in Thailand and I will definitely be back before I leave. It was super easy to take the light rail to the subway from the airport. Great staff, very helpful! The washing machine (for clothes) was a huge bonus, too. Thank you Ideer!

I stayed in iDeer on my first night in Bangkok while travelling solo. The whole stay was great. The room was spacious with plenty of electric sockets. There was hot showers and all bathroom areas were clean and tidy. The wifi connection was fantastic, better than most hostels I've ever been too! The staff were also friendly and the ones...

We stayed at iDeer hostel for four nights during out first time in Bangkok. The hostel was nice and clean. The staff was helpful, and the hostel was quiet (apart from some crazy bird which kept us up during the night). We stayed in an all girls room, which was fine. The beds were hard, but that's pretty much the...

This was my second visit to Bangkok and we wanted something different to the Khaosan Road. The staff are friendly and happy to help. The accommodation is homely, comfortable and clean. They also offer a self service laundry with plenty of drying racks. I would highly reccomend this hostel! Great value for money!

This hostel was my favorite hostel of all the hostels I stayed in during my two week trip in Thailand! The location was great! Away from most tourists, it was still near lots of great street food. Nothing like Khao San Road, for sure. I felt so comfortable in this area of Bangkok. The staff were all so friendly, helpful,...

Staying in Sathorn

Neighborhood Profile
Sathorn
Sathorn is Bangkok’s central business district, but here you’ll find much more than international banks and suited-up office workers. Take a stroll along the small alleys between the skyscrapers and you’ll find yourself among Bangkokians living life at a much slower pace. Feast on fantastic Thai food which you can find in the town-house restaurants, office food courts and sidewalk food stalls spread all over the area, especially around St. Louis Hospital. A visit to Sathorn is not complete without a drink at one of the glitzy sky bars perched atop its skyscrapers.
