Booked 2 nights stay at the inn with good deals. I was expecting the same room as I saw in the internet. When we arrived, the receptionist didn't even smile to us. Probably it was her PMS day. Didn't bother it that much until we saw the room. Small, smelly and dirty! We barely can walk inside the room. Stayed... More

I payed the 900BHT for the 4 night stay! Stayed only for ONE NIGHTT!!The rooms was so bad, and smelt like mildew, that luckily I had some Tea Tree oil and put it on the wall, fan, and bedding, to make the smell bearable. For my sleeping, the springs on the bed were broken, and good luck trying to get... More

Book this hotel for a "Stay 4 Pay 3" promotion. So i paid 900 baht for 4 nite stay in a single room. The room equipped with a TV and a small fan, but was very very small and smelly. Windows are like not working at all, air does not circulate in the room, felt trapped when inside the room.... More

My original hotel choice was fully booked so I walked around for a bit and ended at Sawasdee Smile Inn, it doesn't look as bad from the entrance and they gave me quite a good deal. The room was tiny and not very clean. As soon as I turned the lights off to go to sleep, I started hearing some... More

I have never seen such an HORRIBLE place. Staff really non professional and rude (never a smile, which is quite ironic given the hotel's name!), room awful and smelly, too small for 3 people, bedbugs in the mattresses, sheets very dirty, windows do not close, horrible view on garbage ... everything was disgusting. The worst : the travel agency of... More

I booked my hotel before I left for Bangkok. You really don't need to do that in Bangkok. Wait till you get there. I booked and payed for 4 nights, but only stayed for 3. I sleept on top of the bed, with towels under me, and over me (my own). I got some weird bites that I have yet... More

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighborhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
