The cons Built in the 60's by/for US military r&r,hence the name. Not much has changed in the last 50 years. Fonzy style coffee shop with booths, great food and probably the worst coffee in BKK. Rooms dated, hotel needs a complete re-build, you have to pay for wifi, The pros Great location, hotel parking, great staff, clean, little splash...

As with my previous visits it never disappoints and I won't again go over my love of the place as it can be read in my earlier reviews. What may be helpful though is to realise there are quite large variations in the rooms and if after the first night you don't like your room there is absolutely no problem...

If you are looking for clean, tidy and reasonably priced accommodation you can't go past the Honey Hotel in Soi 19, Sukhumvit Road. Although the rooms are a bit dated they are tidy, and you have the added bonus of a full restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and provides the room service meals for a small surcharge. An older hotel, a little musty sometimes, but great location, friendly staff and well priced. Add in the restaurant downstairs with breakfast, you'd go a long way to beat it. Also guest friendly, they don't charge you if a friend comes to visit.

Neck hurt - pillows were far too soft. I was offered harder ones by Al, but got something even harder... Over all good though, my husband is now a cripple after he attempted White-water rafting after Al let him go (thanks). Enjoyed the trip and am BUZZING from excitement.

I stayed here with my wife after staying in Jomtien Beach. The room was smallish, but very clean and the price was ok for a city hotel. We stayed one night before going to the airport. We would stay here again on our next trip.

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighborhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
