Booked here based only on price...we just needed a bed for 2 nights as we were visiting family nearby. But or 25 bucks you get 25 bucks worth...small room, no cable, small bathroom with no little extras. Look for the price and location it's ok...but for ourselves, we now want those little extra comforts...comfortable bed, nice sheets...blah blah blah. Great...

Stayed here for 3 nights, it's very expensive for what you get, the pool on the roof is nice. We got a fan room, yet it was still very expensive. However you can't beat the location away from the noise of Koh San, yet close enough to be anywhere with Tuk tuks and taxis always on hand. Staff never very...

Good location down a side street, close to khao San road without all the noise of having to stay on khao San. Nice roof top pool. It's cheaper to book online than at the hotel. Also the hotel staff were not that friendly. But the rooms were clean, a good size and comfortable.

The best of this hotel is its location. Very near Khaosan road and very interesting at night with live music, street food and massage. It's also convenient to go to Grand Palace. The room is smaller than I thought but it's nice and clean. 1 thing I don't like is that they required deposit at 500 THB/person though we paid...

Just a couple of blocks away from the bustle of Khaosan Road on Soi Rambuttri the Rambuttri Village is in a great location offering access to all the activities of the Khaosan area without the ongoing noise from the bars that Khaosan is famous for. The hotel has 2 pools which is not all that common for guesthouse type accommodation,...

The location is perfect. Walking distance from Khao San Road and even Wat Phra Kaew. Our room was facing the backyard so we had no problem with the noise but can imagine that front rooms might be less relaxed. The staff could have been more cheerful, but as we were not looking for best friends there and they did what...

I have to rate this with the above options ,however there is no minus.if there was i would be giving this hotel a minus 3,and that is extremely generous! We arrived late after a long day on the train.hot and tired.we were not expecting red carpet, however a smile or a welcome would have satisfied us! If we were not so...

Bangkok is such a vibrant and busy city, do not waste your time staying here!!! Go somewhere with more character and friendlier staff who actually give a damn about their guests. Security is awful, there is a 'surprise' 1,000 baht deposit on arrival and it is just not a great place to stay. I can not recommend this to anyone,...

location is fab! A stones throw from Khao San, walking distance to palaces and government buildings and river, you can't ask for anything more, if you are you should really look to stay elsewhere, for an avg price of 780baht p/n you will not get a burly security guard armed to the teeth, nor fluently speaking thai staff (their English...

I am a single female traveller. Rambuttri Village was my first stop in Bangkok. The hotel is centrally located, clean and well equipped. However, security in this hotel is an issue. On the second night of my stay, I was awoken to find someone else in my room. When I got out of bed to investigate, he had gone down...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighborhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
