I searched the 500-600 Baht price range around Khao San rd. and stayed here in a double room in this Guest Friendly/Thai Friendly Hotel and found it to be adequate, clean and functional. Don't expect anything more as a lot of people seem to for what they pay. The staff were very helpful and friendly and I had no issues...

Its cheap enough and it looks ok but we were on 4th floor over soi rambuttri and after the sun go down you must lay awake while the party rage on the street. when the party stop the few drunks left on the street start to argue and fight. When that stops the sun is starting to come up.No matter though...

I was in bangkok recently and couldn't find an accomodation anywhere... everything was booked up. I ended up splitting a room with an australian girl in the same predicament. The staff was very friendly, the air con was pefectly cool after a long afternoon of carting my heavy bags around to hear everything was full. They have storage for your...

We got a double room without a window (four sons on the road that is parallel to Khoasan with all the pad thai ladies) but soon realized we couldnt stand the mould smell (one corner of the room had black mildew up 1/3 of the wall). The staff was really good about it explaining most of the rooms without windows...

Four sons is a chain of guesthouses, having three guesthouses near Khaosan rd, Bangkok. I stayed in two of the three, in 2008, 2009 and 2010 The four sons village, at rambuttri rd (behind the palace facing Khaosan) is by far the best! Having a terrace, good breakfastsets, nice, spacy rooms with television and private bathrooms, all clean. Friendly staff,...

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights in February and couldn't wait to leave! We got a double room with no window for 550 Baht. The room was extremely small (probably better with just a single bed in it ) with the double bed pushed up against two walls and barely any room to...

We ate at the Four Sons Restaurant and ordered food and beverages. We used the wifi (only free when you order food/drink), as we were using the computer- we plugged our computer into a nearby electrical socket. At the end of the evening, we paid our bill and waited for our 50baht change... it never came - when I asked...

My third visit to Bangkok and my third stay at The Four Sons House. The rooms are clean (the singles are on the small side) and the bathrooms must be the cleanest in Bangkok. All rooms are equipped with cable tv and A/c - excellent value for 350 baht (single). The staff are friendly and informative, the beds are comfortable....

I think the people who wrote the reviews telling everyone they got robbed must have stayed in another four sons hotel (there are a bunch: hotel, resort, inn and house). This is 4 sons house, next door to happy house. What can I tell you: rooms are VERY small, but got everything you need, beds are hard and pillows made...

Stayed in this place for a total of 2 weeks, had a very enjoyable time, very clean, stayed in 3 different rooms in total and all were okay and clean. The AC doesnt exactly work all the time so you wake up hungerover feeling like your going to die in the Bangkok heat, but overall it is good. The internet...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighborhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
