Nice hotel with large bright rooms. Nice roof top pool and fitness facilities. The hotel's location is good, close to Sky train.
As we Trips 2 adults and 3 children it is often difficult to find good accommodation options, but here they have good “family rooms”, i.e. the possibility of connecting rooms.

This hotel is conveniently located in Sukhumvit which is a buzzing place. Right next to JW Marriott, this hotel is nice cozy and has huge beds. The rooms are big and all major amenities are present including safe and fridge. The front desk staff can improve though as on last day I asked for extra towel but they denied saying as it is your check out day it would not be provided. The breakfast was decent but more vegetarian/vegan options would have been preferred. Overall good stay

Thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay here. The hotel is clean and has everything you need at a decent price. Very comfy bed. We also had an adjoining door to our teenage kids' room, which was handy. The breakfast isn't spectacular, but is decent and has everything you need to cover a range of tastes.

We used the local BTS and MRT to get everywhere, including the ferry, where we bought an all day ticket so that we could hop on and off at the temples and other places. We also hired a taxi for the day from the hotel lobby. We were picked up and taken to the Train Market (a must do) and the floating market.
Ideal stay. Thank you.

Hotel Icon Bangkok Sukhumvit 2 is a Small Boutique Hotel located deep within Sukhumvit Soi 2 and could be a bit difficult to find the first time.  It is a 7-10 minutes’ walk from the main road and about 15 minutes’ walk from the nearest BTS Station - Nana, so the location is not very convenient. Meter Taxis are not available in the lane of the Hotel, so you either have to walk to the main road to get one, or get fleeced by the Non Meter Taxis and Tuk Tuks, which is not good.  Unlike some other Hotels in the same and other similar lanes, this Hotel does not provide a Free Tuk Tuk Service to/from the nearest BTS Station. The Hotel is Modern and Well Furnished with Large Rooms, a Comfortable Bed, Good Linen and a good range of Toiletries as well. There are however no Drawers either in the Bed Side Tables, or in the Centre Console, which is a bit odd and inconvenient.  There are no Electrical Points at the Bed Sides, so Charging of your Phone is only possible at the Centre Console next to the TV. There is an Electrical Kettle with Tea/Coffee supplies, but only a Wine Cooler/Chiller and no Refrigerator, so only Soft Drinks & Beer can be kept there, not Ice Creams or any other Frozen Stuff. No Ice either. There is only 1 Large Lounge Chair and a Study Chair in the room, but no Center Table, which makes it inconvenient to have Drinks, etc in the Room. The Hotel has some Strange Policies - Even on request, they refuse to provide more than 1 Room Key Card, even though 2 of us were staying in the Room, no Soap is provided even on request and you are asked to use the Shower Gel instead, the small Jacuzzi in the Swimming Pool is switched on only after 3 pm and not before even on request, even though the Pool is open the whole day. The Room provided to us had no view, as it was right next to a Residential Building with hardly any space in between.  The Breakfast Spread is good, but surprisingly they do not have a Live Eggs Counter, so no choice of Eggs is available. The Rooftop Infinity Swimming Pool is narrow, but long and is Clean and Well Maintained, making Swimming Enjoyable. The View from the Pool is good and there are adequate Deck Chairs with Sun Umbrellas to relax too. The Gym is Very Tiny and Basic. There is a Travel Desk in the Reception, but like most others, they overcharge for most services and then Bargain, which is not good. The Staff are however very Polite and Well Trained and the Service is Very Good.
For the price they charge, there are better hotels available which are more conveniently located and offer better value for money as well. This Hotel would therefore not be a Preferred Choice for my future visits to Bangkok.

The hotel itself is very well maintained, beautiful common areas, from the reception to the pool overlooking the city; area very well served and full of large hotels, although in the parallel street there are many massage centers... that let you imagine other, so frequented by a certain type of tourism. However, there are plenty of places to eat and plenty of taxis in every corner. Good and hearty breakfast. Unfortunately we had problems with the room: being a family of 4 people we were assigned two communicating rooms (no. 206) in one of which, however, the toilet flush was not working properly and, even worse, there was an unbearable sewer smell that necessarily invaded the bedroom. We reported this at reception, but it's probably a plumbing problem, nothing has been resolved. I also point out that some requests at the reception were handled very superficially. 1) . Upon our arrival after 12 hours the flight, at 9.30 am, we are told that the room would be ready at 2 pm. We then "camped" and fell asleep on the armchairs in front of the reception and when finally at 1 pm they told us that the rooms were ready they asked us for extra to be able to occupy them an hour before! Of course we went to eat and entered the room at 14, greeted by the wonderful scent above. 2) I asked if they could print the check-in of the return flight: they told me yes and I then sent the file to the reception email; once printed they charged me. I said they should have told me before that it was a paid service (never happened in my life in any hotel, especially in a 4 star hotel!!), but big smiles and no response, just the open hand waiting for the money. 3) One morning I asked if I could have an extra pillow for the next night: the receptionist told me that I should tell my colleague about the evening shift. I asked him if he could take note and do it himself: he looked at me as if I had asked him the strangest thing in the world and almost incredulously took note of my request... mah. 4) One evening the lamp on the bedside table failed and it stayed on all night, preventing me from sleeping: in the morning I immediately reported the thing, but when I returned to the room at 8 pm the lamp was still on! I called in the surgery, two technicians showed up and sorted it out.
If you are staying here, avoid room 206 and in case of need know that the reception service leaves much to be desired.

The Pension is well located close to two metro stations which then allows you to move easily around the city. The rooms are large and spacious. A kettle is available and two bottles of water are provided per day.The Wifi connection worked well.

Breakfast is ok but no more It is difficult to take a hot shower , the water is rather cool. I advise against the restaurant for lunch or dinner, the waitress was very smiling and very responsive but the food is really poor quality.

My stay at Hotel Icon was so disappointing. The hotel is more expensive than my normal stay in Bangkok, but I decided to treat myself for the last 2 nights of my stay in Thailand. Wifi was out from check in until after 10pm my first night, making it impossible to research where I planned to eat and leaving me at the mercy of hotel staff who sent me to a tourist food stall market when I asked for restaurant info. The next day, the last of my vacation, I was stuck in the room just as I was trying to leave for the afternoon because a water pipe behind the toilet broke and the entire bathroom flooded with over 2" water. The mildew/bathroom smell was horrible and I asked for a new room, but was told at reception would have to wait 3 hours. The process of dealing with reception was arduous and frustrating because my room phone did not work and I had to go downstairs and wait in line for a long time every time I had a question. I was told I could use the bathroom behind reception to clean up and leave my bags at the front desk, but these were not acceptable solutions after paying top dollar for a room I could not use. The general manager did get me a new room but there were no reparations made (free drinks, breakfast, or room upgrade?) for the inconvenience. Also, I was told the bathroom would be fixed "in 10 minutes" but 2 hours later the guy was still working in there. This really wasn't worth the cost and I would not stay again.

I have preferred hotels around Ploenchit MRT, which is perfect for its access to MRT, food choices, and general accessibility to explore BKK. Icon is perfect from a price, location, and general condition of rooms and amenities. For reference, it is Ibis+++. More space, comfort and amenities. My only grouse is that it is very difficult to find on Google Maps or Grab. Had a very frustrating experience trying to get here or for booking one. Did not take a chance on our flight out and booked a car from the hotel.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The hotel itself was really nice and very well maintained. The breakfast was as a small buffet, clearly arranged and has sufficed. Our room was always clean and in the bed it slept excellently. The reception staff was friendly but rather disinterested after check in, for example when you came back from a shopping trip. On the roof terrace, with a nice little pool and great views, you could also have a drink if the staff did not run away or someone was to be found. Cleaning staff and breakfast staff were very friendly and helpful! Thank you for your pleasant way of welcoming us.

By the way, there is a shop right at the hotel entrance where Marhiuana is bought and smoked.

If you want to stay conveniently in Bangkok, you must find some hotels near the subway station. The ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ hotel Hotel Icon Bangkok near Nana subway station is very good. There are night markets, street food, large and small shopping malls nearby. . Only 3 subway stations are needed to reach Siam Paragon, Central-world BigC shopping mall.

The room is spacious, the big bed is very comfortable, the air-conditioner is cold enough, the water heater is hot enough, the customer service is satisfactory, and the price is reasonable . ...

Just to give some you some perspective there are around 8 hotels both international and local, a few condos and houses plus church sharing the same street. Nearest skytrain station is around 850 m away from the hotel and 350 m from the main road where you'll see a McDonalds and Starbucks. Hope this eases your worries

Answer from Steve W

45 minutes on a good run should cost about 450 baht and use the public taxi stands. Not sure how many travelling as the taxis don,t have a lot of boot space for luggage. The Icon can arrange pick up if you contact them but will be dearer than public service.

Hello. All rooms at Hotel Icon are non-smoking. However, there are dessignated areas where it is allowed. The 6th floor on the pool/bar and the Terrace in front of the hotel. If you want a smoking room, they will accommodate with an additional charge (cost of airing the rooms after a guest departs). You will need to make the arrangements in advance though.Hope this answers your question...
