Get Ready for contrast of "Hustle & Bustle" of traditional Bangkok China town versus the serene inside "boudoir style " atmosphere. Nice toiletries- Coconut shampoos, conditioners, large washrooms, canopy beds, mini refrigerators( complimentary cold water bottles/ not safe to drink tap water). OUCH! - funky paint colors, bright colored silk cushions/bed covers, canopy beds " started singing " One night in Bangkok"... . Perfect, healthy delicious full buffet breakfast , Thai massages filled up quick, chilled juice drink on arrival. 2 adults- Husband & self easy walk for Pho soup, sightseeing Buddha temple on arrival " international starred- street food cart galore- fresh coconut to deep fry donuts.. welcomed after a 16-18 hour flight from Canada... a day or 2 early to experience life. After our 8 day g- adventure tour we picked another modern small hotel in Bangkok- closer to River near Iconic shopping mall- boat rides used for sightseeing- hop on/ off ticketing prices also reasonable....big north American hotel chains nearby.

Dear LightPacker178809, Wow! Having read your review you meticulously shared with us here has made me smile from ear to ear. You did indulge all of our facilities; the toiletries we provide are from our illustrious 'Spa Burasari', all products contain coconut as their main ingredient with the numerous skin and hair benefits. The hotel's interior, room designs, and furniture are beautifully crafted, definitely, they 'sing' with a passion for the arts, highlighting Shanghai Manion's romantic, opulent, and seductive 1930s era. I truly hope to welcome you again, perhaps to experience our Suite Room singing for more nights. Warm regards, Suthee Yeesoon Resident Manager

What a lovely escape from the madness outside. Very much a calm gentle area, bringing old world charm to the modern day. Beds are huge, rooms well appointed and the air conditioning and showers powerful. Breakfast was good too and we ate in here one night which was satisfying. Only improvements I would suggest are fully frost the glass in the toilet area, the lack of privacy isn't great. Additionally, for room 310 ( which was beautiful) the fake glass wall really needs proper black out curtains as we were kept awake by the light shining through the opaque wall and very thin curtains. Really enjoyed our stay.

In China town - quirky hotel, good music, interesting rooms, very clean near underground. Oasis in the middle a very busy part of the city. Good cocktails. Food is nice. Perfect as a first stop. Air conditioned terrace with street views. Valentine’s Day decorations. Food carts everywhere including Michelin street food outside. European prices for food and drink. Lovely staff so helpful. Shout out to staff member Winner who is so helpful.

Charming Chinese style hotel in a great location right in the heart of bustling Chinatown with night street food vendors right on your doorstep. There was a slight mix up with our room rate upon arrival with an early check in, but this was resolved by the hotel manager. The room was spacious and clean, with a extra large king size bed. The free standing bath was a nice feature. I have to say that the staff were very friendly and welcoming. One of the highlights of the hotel was the front bar at night which had live music and a great place to people watch whilst drinking a cocktail. Breakfast was good with lots of choice (eastern & western food) and we liked the afternoon tea. The hotel organised airport transfers for us. The negatives was the subdued room lighting was not bright enough in places, the bed was a little hard for us and the photos on the website somewhat enhanced the hotel. Upon check out we did see a rodent in the reception area (but hey, you see them now in any major world city). Altogether a great stay in the centre of Bangkok.

This was the start of our trip to Thailand, we had stayed on our last trip so chose to stay again. We like this hotel in bustling China Town, as it feels relaxed when you walk in from the busy street. Our rooms were very nice, although the beds are a little hard. We love the area on the second floor to sit with a glass of something, we made use of this to share a glass of wine with friends. We did not think the restaurant was as good as our previous experience. We love the small jars of snacks on the second floor and the friendliness of most of the staff.

Dear suziepoo56, Thank you for returning to stay with us and taking time to share your valuable feedback. A conspicuous red bridge located at the hotel entrance will significantly convey you from the bustling China Town to the charm of Shanghai 1930's. The second floor you are referring is our Red Rose Second Floor Bar, it will soon fully opened, hopefully, I could treat you some glasses of our tantalizing cocktail there and learn more about your restaurant experience. In the meantime, I am sorry to learn your sleep experience, we would indeed be happy to assist as soon as we noticed your bed preference, I promise you will relish your most comfortable sleep on your returns. Warm regards, Suthee Yeesoon Resident Manager
