This place is nasty. We stayed one night after a horrible day of travel, so we were desperate. The person that checked us in was clearly high because she looked at us like we were an after thought. She moved in slow motion, did not say anything, and just slowly gestured responses to anything we said. The room is not...

Dont stay here. They take your belongings if you forget something there and try to pull the "i dont speak english card" and act like you never left stuff there. They left me on the phone for 2 minutes as i heard their silly TV in the background, hoping i would just disconnect the line, and overtime I call, no...

It's a good hostel if you are looking to save some money or a cheap place to stay. You get exactly what you pay for to be honest. In a room with A/C (I obviously don't know if this is the case for every room) there is no remote for you to adjust the temperature whenever you like. Only some...

I have stayed at Kawin place many times over the last few years. It's very basic and a bit tatty but you get what you pay for as it's one of the cheapest places to stay in the area. The location is really good, right in the middle of the Khao San Road so it can be a bit noisy....

You get what you pay for. Very average hotel. Aircon very temperamental. Mattress was like lying on boards. Wifi was very poor in my room and it's turned off from 6am till 8am. No idea why. Excellent location about 100 mtrs down a side street off Khoasan Rd.

Perfect location, you are right on Koshan road but just up a side path so the music can't be heard from you room. The rooms are cheap (500b) and wi if is strong in all rooms. The rooms themselves are very run down. Paint work is dirty and beds are like concrete. However, when you're staying in Koshan road you...

We stayed in kawin place two times. One time three nights and one time two nights. The rooms were okay and clean. Only luxury was the free wifi which worked good. There is no tv and no fridge in the room. The first time we had a bad working air condition and it was really warm inside. Second time we...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighborhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
