We arrived mid afternoon to be told we were on the 6th floor as that was where their suites were! The only time I saw the receptionist smile was when she told us we had to climb 6 floors as there is no lift. No problem we were tired and hungry due to travelling. We dropped our bags and ventured...

We didn't stay at the hotel and I can see that it doesn't have many positive reviews but the meal we ate here recently was fantastic and we highly recommend their restaurant. We ordered a panang curry, yam wun sen and a dish I'd never previously tried called pra gung which was the absolute piece de resistance of this meal...

We went just for drinks (no food) and didn't spend the night. We loved that it was so open and a great place to relax and sit down. While it's open they have great fans that allow for good air circulation.

We used to call in here for a drink and loved it my wife's cocktails were always very strong and really had a kick. Not just full of ice and the beers were good too. A great place to relaxe and watch the people go by.

Just opposite our hotel on way to soi rambuttri. Large chang 130 baht - much more expensive than others in the same area. Full of people with enormous rucksack either checking in or checking out. Food looked ok. Can't comment on the rooms.

I have been here for breackfast today. The staff is super unfriendly and if you want to change something there start talking in thai and look at you really bad. They also sale rotten coconuts and want the full price for them. You can't even give it back! Never again.

The location is brilliant. The street is close enough to Khao San that you can walk but far enough that you don't get the noise. Great street food restaurant on the corner, quite possibly my favourite in Thailand. The staff are ok, the rooms are clean, the wifi is good. It is also close to the river where you can...

I've stayed at Wild Orchid 7 times in 14 years. I think this that's it. There is so much smoking in restaurant! Really! It's horrible. We stayed 6 nights . Always smoking!!! They really need to clean up this hotel now. Nothing has changed in 14 years. Just a new pool. They should have spent that money on the hotel....

Went there for lunch, the waitress was sat at the bar with her back to me and it took a lot of patience to get her to come and serve me. I ordered a spicy red Thai curry, it wasn't spicy very watery and with very little meat. After the meal I had to get up and o to the...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighborhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
