I stayed at the Centre Point Silom for 2 nights and was very pleased with our stay. The room was spacious, well decorated and spotlessly clean. The staff couldn’t do enough to help and were incredibly friendly every time I had any interaction with them. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. A good selection of Asian and Western food. The hotel...

The is the second hotel I stayed in Bangkok and I enjoyed it immensely. Positives: Close to SkyTrain and River Taxi, not too many hotels offer both of these. I would grab one if you are in Bangkok to sight see. Hotel appears to be condominiums that could not sell and converted into a hotel so the rooms are large...

We liked this hotel very much. Very good situated, close to the expressboat , close to the skytrain and also close to the highway to the airport. A Shoppingmall nextdoor. We enjoyed the breakfast and we liked the dinners we had in the restaurant. The staff were very friendly and the swimmingpool was larger than we had expected. In July...

I booked this hotel through booking.com. The travellers voted this the best hotel in Bangkok (a 9.3 rating) at the time. I have my doubts about this qualification. It is not expensive at THB 2.100 (EUR 23) per night but by no way the best in Bangkok. The apartment was small and very white. No nice contemporary furniture. Basically it's...

I am still amazed with all the reviews I read about this hotel. I didn't find it perfect at all. First, the rooms were old, with old furniture, old amneties and a washing machine that did not work properly. Second, the cleaning department needs some improvement (the tiles in our bathroom were not too clean, to put it in a...

I thought this place was a bit of a find. £25 a night for a massive room with excellent river views, free wifi, kitchen, washer/dryer and an international breakfast for two can't be bad! There are few Centre Points in Bangkok so I'd recommend you did what I did and email the hotel and ask them to email you back...

We found the Centre Point through Trip Advisor based on great reviews-- and it's all true. One of our favorite hotels of our trip. The door guys literally salute you as you walk by. Everyone is super friendly and helpful, even though we only stayed a couple of nights and it's typically a long-stay place. Price was unbelievable... under $50...

The Location of the hotel is excellent, 1/2 a block to the BTS and 1 block to the river taxi. On the street below are excellent choices of street food and even a vegetable market. The Bottom floor facing the street has a grocery and a coffee shop and McDonald's (if that your thing). The pool was nice and on...

This was my third stay at the Centre Point. I stay there because it's a great value although I wish they'd step up the service a little and make it as good as any of the hotels along the Chao Praya. The location is great; the suites are very good enough; it's very reasonably priced and a great value. The...

Staying in Silom

Neighborhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
