    Old Charm or Modern?
The Old Capital Bike Inn has character, location and a terrific English speaking owner and staff who work hard to provide great service and any information you require to help you find and get to sites and restaurants. The draw of the Inn is than it is a lovely old building, however be aware that the rooms are small and ours lacked sunlight. Although a premium room (the garden suite) it had a skylight over a planter area, and a window looked at a wall. Bangkok is very hot and there are many fabulous things to see, however we found we were a bit restricted by the heat (in January) and frequently returned to our hotel room, so we were aware of any shortcomings (a curtain in lieu of a door to the bathroom). Perhaps a larger room with a view would have been preferable, but then we would never have experienced the wonderful character and charm of the old Inn. I feel that their price point is a little high compared to the other offerings close by that provide more amenities such as a window/view, restaurant and pool. Like many things - it's all a trade-off.

    Perfect stay!!
My husband and I stayed at Old Capital Bike Inn at the very end of our honeymoon in Thailand/Vietnam. We have nothing but compliments about the space, food and staff. The rooms are spacious, beds comfortable, and breakfast delicious. The staff is so kind and helpful- they went out of their way to make take away breakfast for us for our 4am departure, give us a chilled bottle of Prosecco for our honeymoon and make sure we always have more than enough fresh/clean water. We went on the night time bike tour and it was amazing - we learned so much and saw areas of the city we would have otherwise missed. This is one of the best bnb/hotel stays we’ve ever had. Do not miss the opportunity to visit old capital bike inn on your next trip to Bangkok!!

Exquisite boutique hotel where you feel cared for
We stayed in a quiet, beautifully teak-decorated room with a serene upstairs bedroom/loft. From the moment we arrived, hot and tired and a bit anxious from our long flight from New York, we were put at our ease, with a lovely welcome. Each morning's breakfast was lavish, with a fruit plate, tiny hot sweet donuts, and a main dish (waffles, eggs). The best aspect of all was that we were asked about our plans for the day and given many superb, insider suggestions of what to do. The host and hostesses were very caring, even going down the street to make sure we rendezvoused with our Grabcar driver (they also explained to us about using the app Grabcar). I was sad to leave and would definitely stay here again.
Thank you again for staying with us! It pleases us greatly to know your stay at OCBI was a most wonderful one. It could be daunting travelling to an entirely new country, and we're glad we're able to make you feel at ease and enjoy the new experiences in Bangkok with peace of mind. If you ever plan to visit Bangkok and us again, please kindly be reminded booking direct ensures our guests gets the best rates and special offers always. Looking forward to meet you again one day! Warmest regards, Jason, Nantiya and OCBI team

We had a great stay and would happily stay again. Staff are fantastic. Super friendly and so helpful. Thus is a small hotel with wonderful character and a personal approach that makes guests feel very welcome. Breakfast was great. Good location. Hotel discount at local Pai spa for excellent Thai massage is highly recommended. Free evening bike tour was a lovely bonus and gave us another perspective of Bangkok city. Cheap public canal boat transport with 10minute walk.

Absolutely amazing stay at a hotel that brings you back in time to XIX century's Bangkok. Top service provided from owners/management and all staff. If I'll be back, this will be my choice again. Highly recommended for other travellers. You won't be disappointed

Old Capital Bike Inn exceeded all my expectations. The breakfast was phenomenal, the staff was incredibly friendly, and the location was perfect. The Old Capital Bike Inn is perfect for anyone traveling to Bangkok, either alone or with others. Having individualized breakfast everyday really made traveling easy. I was able to walk to most of the places I wanted to visit in Bangkok and there was a metro station near by. Additionally, the staff was always so attentive and caring throughout my stay. I would highly recommend Old Capital Bike Inn and I will definitely be staying there again.

Staying at the Old Capital bike was a completely pleasant experience. Well situated in the old part of Bangkok close to restaurants and other areas of interest. The difference with OCBI is the staff Jason and his staff made sure that we had the best possible experience in Bangkok, from the free evening bike tour to suggesting restaurants and walking tours that took the characteristics of the city. I would only stay at OCBI when in Bangkok.

We couldn’t agree more with all the other positive reviews. This is a charming and quirkily designed guest house - we loved it. The accommodation photos represent it well. Staff were lovely - welcoming and couldn’t do more for you. We had the two bedroom annexe room which was comfortable and well equipped. Breakfast was beautifully cooked and presented, plentiful and tasty. This will be our go to place in Bangkok moving forward - firm family favourite. For those of you visiting during the current works happening on the street outside - we barely heard anything and it certainly didn’t detract from our stay.

An absolutely lovely experience staying at Old Capital Bike Inn. The owners are so welcoming and friendly, and their English is brilliant! A kind and warm welcome, including a welcome drink. Upon check-in, you have the option to select what you'd like for your breakfast, and what time you'd like it, along with the option to donate to 1 of 4 charities (and the hotel will match your donation). The breakfast was 10/10 and you certainly won't leave hungry. I recommend the chicken skewer and waffles! If you, like us, need to check-out early morning (we left at 0430), we were offered breakfast to take away! The bedroom is lovely, and exactly as described (I stayed in the garden suite) - clean, tidy, lovely decor, a choice of bath salts to select. Beds are made up each day and towels can be replaced if needed, however the hotel encourages them to be reused, which is great. Each day you arrive back to your room you are greeted with a little personalised message and souvenir. Despite the road/building works going on out front, this can't be heard from the room - earplugs are provided though, just in case! If I travel back to Bangkok, I'd certainly stay here again!

A great cozy place for anyone traveling to Bangkok. Great staff and amazing service. The room is very comfortable with most facilities. Wifi could have been better but thats minor things to pick out. The best thing was the amazing morning breakfast. Loved the overall experience.

A beautiful and charming hotel, brilliantly located for all the tourist areas. The staff were super friendly and helpful. They gave us useful advice on how and where to travel each day. We did a night bike tour with Jason which was the highlight of our time in Bangkok! The breakfasts were amazing and very filling. A wide range of options to suit everyone. The chicken skewers and waffle were a firm favourite. We stayed in the family suite which was elegant and full of character- including an outdoor bathtub in its own courtyard (there was also an indoor shower). The steps to the mezzanine were quite steep so I would be cautious with young children or older persons. There were major roadworks in the street outside but we didn’t have any disturbance overnight.

We stayed in the King Loft suite for 3 days and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is a small, charming inn right in the centre of Bangkok within walking distance of a number of beautiful temples. The breakfast was the highlight of our stay and was the best we have had in any hotel! The staff are all amazing - they are all very friendly and even left small gifts and messages in our room which was a very nice touch! The room was nice and clean but a downside is that the room and the hotel itself had quite steep steps and they were sometimes difficult to walk up and down (especially with luggage) so this might be something to consider. Also some of the sockets in the room were loose and did not work.
