This Hilton property has to be the best one we've visited in years. Starting with excellent location, a short walk from Sukhumvit Road and 2 BTS stations. The check in process was like meeting an old friend - the check in agent Just was absolutely impressive, with a flawless and breezy presentation, never missed a step or piece of information, acknowledging Elite Status, managing the admin part, while maintaining a friendly demeanor. The room was superb, spacious, clean, airy and quiet. Excellent AC and fast WiFi. As others have noted, the breakfast buffet is something to behold, an incredible variety of high quality, both traditional as well as Western options. Ms Film is incredibly welcoming and helpful. The manager, Patty is unbelievably thoughtful and observant, just an amazing service, even took her own initiative to prepare the last day boxed breakfast, remembering dietary restrictions - unreal! Mr Sanan is also like a friend, endless energy and smiles. What made this a special stay for us was the mind boggling attention we received from 2 front managers, Mr Sam (Samrat) and Mr Jumper, who coordinated a dinner for our special occasion, then stayed way after their work hours to ensure it all goes well, worked in the back with their world class Head Chef Jom (more a magician, then a chef - watch out for Jom, he will likely have his own cooking show or a channel!) to prepare an unforgettable meal and waited until late evening, never letting anything to a chance. Ms Meaw as the evening hostess did her gracious part to complete the experience. This approach and treatment you can get only from your own family and you don't expect it at a hotel. We can only wish that the notion of hospitality and service has the same meaning at US hotels (sadly it is often on the other end of the spectrum). There is no way I can think of any other property to stay next time in Bangkok - Double Tree Ploenchit is hands down the best option here. Thank you all, really hope to see you soon.

I have just had a great stay at the Double Tree hotel. This is my first time staying here since the remodel, what a difference it is now bright and alive, feels refreshing compared to the old Grand Majestic; its central location allows for easy access to and from the airport, within walking distance to BTS, malls and everything else the area has to offer. The rooms, restaurants and facilities are top notch. But what really makes the Double Tree my new top choice is the welcoming, and friendly staff. They always go out of their way to ensure that all my needs are met. Sam (head concierge), Bobo and Tump deserves special praise, they are great asset for the hotel. Sam (concierge) ensured my stay was taken care of from check-in to check-out, always greeting me with a smile and making sure I was happy. Bobo has been a good friend to me for the past 5 years and always takes care of my needs while staying in Thailand, from helping plan my trips to finding some of the best food you can imagine, he definitely ensures your trip is enjoyable and safe. The front desk staff is amazing as well as are all the staff at the hotel. Housekeeping is spot on to my special request; and are always prompt, friendly, and very helpful. Thailand also known as the land of smiles, that’s the feeling you will experience as soon as you pull up to the Double Tree.

We have just spent 3 nights at the Doubletree Ploenchit and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.
Super location - just a 2 minute walk to Sukhumvit Road and 5-10 minute walk to 2 different BTS stations making it very easy to explore all of Bangkok. There is a small shopping mall just next door with shop (7/11 or similar), ATM machine, Starbucks.
All the staff members that we encountered were very friendly and helpful. Their GM, Ashwin, was always visible in the lobby greeting guests and helping out when necessary. Also a shout out to Terryn, the Director of Operations, and Sam, who greeted us on arrival.
Breakfast was delicious! Plenty of choice. Loved the banana and almond muffins. The juices for Diamond guests was a nice touch.
Rooms were very spacious with huge shower and all the amenities you need, even iron/ironing board, bathrobes and slippers.
There is a small bar in the lobby - I recommend trying the cookie espresso martini!
Overall, a great stay and we look forward to visiting again in the future!

I stayed for one night at the DoubleTree by Hilton Bangkok Ploenchit as I was arriving on a late flight and could save money on this inexpensive hotel the first night before moving on to the more expensive nearby Conrad Bangkok for the rest of my stay in Bangkok. For the very inexpensive price of this hotel, it delivers convenience of location, a simple but comfortable room and a great breakfast buffet with a surprisingly large selection of food.
The hotel is located near the Ploenchit BTS skytrain station, which is a great convenience as the skytrain is much faster than travelling by car in the notorious Bangkok city traffic. My Hilton Diamond status was acknowledged on check in and I was upgraded to a King Deluxe room on a high floor. The room is not very large but well equipped and new looking in decor as the rooms have been renovated not too long ago. In addition to the trademark warm cookie on checking in, I also receive a small box with two chocolates.
For a small hotel, the DoubleTree has an impressive breakfast buffet with a large selection of Western, Thai, Chinese and East Indian food. There are also eggs to order and soup noodle to order stations.
For a one night stay, the DoubleTree by Hilton Bangkok Ploenchit provides great value for the price.

We had an incredible dining experience at Open at DoubleTree by Hilton! The variety of food is impressive, and every dish was absolutely delicious. The Pad Thai was a standout for me—it may look like a typical Thai dish, but the taste was exceptional. I ended up having three plates! The pomelo salad and Tom Yum Kung were equally amazing, making it impossible to stop eating.
A special mention to Khun Sanan for his extraordinary service. He welcomed us with a warm smile right from the lobby and even invited us to the restaurant a little early at 5:45 PM, even though it officially opens at 6 PM. His hospitality truly made our evening special.
Overall, it was a delightful experience with delicious food and top-notch service. We’ll definitely be back!

I got a nice deal on a room at the DoubleTree Ploenchit, so I took it. Was in Bangkok for three nights and stayed in room 2209.
The hotel is well situated on Sukhumvit Soi 2, but it can be a bit tricky to get there and if your driver makes the wrong turn, it can take an additional 15 minutes to swing around again. But the hotel is nice, modern and looks fairly new. The lobby is nice and well appointed for lounging around or waiting for your car. There's a restaurant and bar area with food and drink that looks pretty good (I did not partake).
Truth is, when I'm visiting a city, I don't usually buy an included breakfast. It always costs more and I'd rather go explore the city and find local breakfast. Of course, when I'm being hosted for a particular event and the host covers the cost, I'll take the included breakfast. But I'm usually on a tighter schedule.
My room was very modern with lots of slick clean white surfaces. Very nice. Bedding was comfortable and while there's a very large window, the blackout curtain does a great job of keeping the room dark for sleeping. While modern, the room is a bit compact. Just enough space for a table and bed, but not encroaching feeling. In-Room water is provided, a nice touch and the bath is also very modern and clean with fluffy towels and good lighting.
I stayed here for three nights for work, so I spent most of the day out in the city and only returned at night to shower and rest. It was a fantastic hotel with good staff for that.
Of course, it's a DoubleTree so they have warm cookies available. They even have a cookie plushie for purchase. I may have gotten one for myself.

Location: in the heart of Bangkok, near BTS Phloen chit station. Easy to get taxi, grab driver.
Hospitality: all staffs are very friendly and knowledgeable about the hotel. In particular the restaurant staffs are very helpful to explain the dishes, cleaning the table regularly, and providing unique dishes in every morning.

The Hotel is located at the center of Bangkok and next to Nana Street (Arab Street). The staff are friendly and the rooms are spacious. We were offered a ride from the Airport to the Hotel with BHT 1,800. There is a small mall on a walking distance that has Halal Lebanese Food and two coffee shops (Tim Horton's and Starbucks). The hotel is secured and there is a food delivery point to prevent strangers from entering along with the security in the elevator where you need to scan your room card to go to your floor. The Hotel provides a daily complimentary water and has water hose in the bathroom. The hotel is almost 45-50 minutes away from the Airport and it is easy to get a Taxi from there.

This is a fantastic hotel in a superb location. We arrived around 9.00pm and were very warmly greeted with a very quick and friendly check in process. Our room was fantastic, spotlessly clean with beautiful views of the Bangkok skyline. Our room overlooked the expressway but we never heard a sound from the traffic and all we could see was beautiful views. We had dinner in the restaurant the first night and it was superb. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, I have a dairy allergy and 'Mr Jumper' could not have been more helpful and accommodating. Taking the time to go round the whole buffet informing me of what I could and could not eat. The egg station was also great as they made scrambled eggs and omelette to order with no milk or butter. The concierge were extremely helpful with places to go and things to see and ordered taxis for us when needed. If we ever go back to Bangkok again we will definitely stay at this beautiful hotel. Yes they do have limo service to the hotel but it very expensive compared to a regular taxi. You can get a regulated taxi from the airport on the lower level and they will take you directly to the hotel. At the hotel there are many taxis available right outside.
You can contact the hotel directly to book the limo .
Hi, as Tipper wrote, elevators (beginning November 2019) require a key. But the hotel remain very guest friendly. As in the past, your friend will be asked to leave their ID at the "guest" desk in the ground floor.
There are more places to choose from in the Bangkok area.
