Second time at The Rose Hotel. A bit dated and small rooms, but can’t beat the location. Near the Night Market and close to the BTS for easy access to the rest of Bangkok and the river ferry. Only one small elevator (4 pax) so be prepared to walk up flights if you don’t have patience to wait your turn. Never used the pool but it looks Ok. But it works for me so I would go back at that price point.

Standard room. Quiet clean hotel. Right in the middle of markets and avenues famous for bars and shows. When that gets too much, retire to the hotel pool area. GREAT pool under the frangipani tree. Always an attendant on hand with cold water or a towel. All the staff here are lovely. I had two stays in Bangkok. First here, and then closer to Khao San Road near the Palace etc. I truely preferred this area. Better street food. Kinder people. Don't get me wrong...a tourist is a tourist is a wallet...but I was much more comfortable here than over near the river. I think being at The Rose made my stay infinitely easier.

You get what you pay for, and that was not much. Pool is great. Rooms are cardboard boxes, neighbours “pleasures” very audible. Wifi was useless. I regret having booked this... should’ve known better.

I went there for the first time in February 2019 an then I came back again June same year the location is amaaaazing, in the middle of the markets, soooo near to big malls, bars, nightlife, restaurants, very near to parks as well and some temples and touristic places ... it was so easy for us to move everywhere in a short time its in the center and very easy to find taxis an transportation, at the same time its not noisy because its a bit inside a small street so u have ur calm in your room which was all the time clean with very good wifi and room service. ( the view was the only things I didnt like) but I dont mind when everything is great the swimming pool which I loved had the Thai style is sooo peaceful and there is a restaurant there with amaaaaazing food and a place where to do the massage also the guys they were so friendly and professional I recommend it so highly and Im planing to go again but this time not with my husband. it will be with my mom or maybe all together because I would looooove that she go there the atmosphere is magic thanks to the beautiful people on the reception and the lady who was making the breakfast with such a big smile everyday

Rose Hotel's location is perfect - located in the heart of a lively district with restaurants, bars, nightlife, shopping, public transportation but just one block behind the busy street so you get all of this without and of the noise. The property has two hotels, two restaurants/bars, and a great shared pool area. I was traveling with a friend and the two of us had different budgets. He wanted luxury and decided to stay at the Rose Residence - an upscale boutique hotel. I wanted value, so I stayed at the Rose Hotel. Yes, the hotel is a little dated but it is spotless, the bed was great, the curtains blocked out all the light and I got some of the best sleep I had in months. The food is amazing! I consider myself a foodie, an empirical chef and I'm vegan. They made food for me that wasn't even on the menu to accommodate me being vegan and it was incredible. Plus there is a great happy hour including their own specialty cocktails. When traveling I believe that the staff is a hotel's greatest attribute and the staff here is extremely friendly, they learn your name and what you like, these touches make you feel at home. Employees are always a reflection of their bosses. I also had the opportunity to meet and speak with the brothers who run the hotel and it became clear to me as to why the staff is so great. I would (and actually am) stay there again. I have a day and a half layover in Bangkok coming up and have reserved for a second time at Rose Hotel. My stay was well worth the value. Two thumbs up from me.

Firstly, room photos not exactly correct. Air-conditioning only functions after five minutes switch on. The room we stayed in smelly. Only one small lift available upto fifth floor. The breakfast is hostel standard charge at 350 Bath! Overall, this hotel is not a customer care oriented. The atmosphere is not accommodating. Need re-thinking if to choose this hotel!

The location is perfect, just a short walk from the nightlife, the markets, and sala deng BTS station. The staff are really friendly and the pool area is nice. However it does need a bit of a makeover, tiles missing from the bathroom, rusty taps and plug holes, tired carpets and the flattest pillows I have ever seen! But would I stay again? Yes, it's clean, friendly, affordable and a great location. But I would book a non-smoking room- I didn't even know hotels had smoking rooms these days!

Fairly old and tired rooms but clean. We swapped to a suite room which gave us more room and was reasonably priced but not cheap cheap. Lovely pool area but again old and in need to a paint job although the pool itself is lovely. Good amenities around pool including saunas and small gym. Extremely friendly and helpful staff during the day. Evening staff not so pleasant, not so helpful and spoke little English, which is fine but one can still be friendly and accommodating without the use of the English language; not really the case here at the Rose hotel. Fantastic restaurant with amazing staff!!! Great location for Patong market and other areas of interest

This is my 4th stay here. Good location. On the main road, many massage parlour choices. Food around the area is good, even the evening noodle hawker stall along the lane in front of the hotel is good. From Sam Yan stn, direct underground train to Chatuchak mkt (Kamphaeng Phet stn). The Ruen Urai restaurant there is a plus. Good Thai cuisine. Had 2 lunch meals there, fast service and hotel guests have a 10% discount.

As a boutique Hotel Manager, Connaisseur, guest and fan, I wanted to give my fiancee a treat. Her first time in Bangkok. The website looked really cool - BUT - arrival we found a back alley positioned tired hotel. Friendly but non savvy service ( I think it is family run) and had to move room upon arrival as the AC did not work.. Nothing and I mean, nothing about this place is boutique or like they proclaim "best kept secret in town" there is a fantastic Thai restaurant near an unattended pool That was the only plus. The pool was well sized, but their idea of a pool bar, is an old counter with TWO chairs. No staff to tend to it. The continued excuse we got is that is is close to Patpong and indeed, it is in walking distance of three minutes. But unless you are a Patpong dweller, it is not of great interest to stay there. Before , we were two days at the Citadines Soi 11 Hotel - should have stayed. Way better for LESS money. Hard to believe. If it would have been $ 35 a day, I would not be sitting here writing this revue. It was a waste of money and time. I have added some pics of their "boutiqueish hallway" pool with the "bar" , the view from the pool and the fantastic "business center" - I had to chuckle. I agree, you get what you pay for, but in this case, we sure did not - dont go. There are much better places in Bangkok for over $ 70 a night and for us, Sukhumvit Soi 11 and surroundings wil always be preferred over Silom area and Patpong. I hope they will make some changes, the lobby and entrance area is cute, but do not start what you cannot finish.
