Two little holes in the toilet they call windows. Smoking is prohibited, yet smoking people can be found everywhere, even in the pool area. The reception is useless, lying and not providing services. Out on the street somerestaurants make loud noise at night, so that the noise is overheard in the rooms and the hotels staff doesn't bother. Definitely, I do not recommend this hotel. Also, the towels are dirty and there is dust in the room. The tiny windows in the toilet have holes, apparently for mosquitoes to come in.

Whilst the hotel was in a spot on location for partygoers on Khoa san road, and the accommodation was decent enough with clean facilities and good air conditioning, the food was substantially below par. Although our expectations weren’t sky high, the microwaved meal ended up being truly derisory and bordering on inedible.

This was my second time staying. Stayed in 2018 and was satisifed so rebooked. Alot has changed and rebooking was a big mistake. Ill start with positives: - good aircon - nice helpful reception staff Negatives - room was tiny. Like a cell. No window other than the one in the bathroom. It was filthy. Blood on bedsheets. - music/noise went on to 6am and it was so loud. Moved rooms as soon as I got to the first room. I may as well of been on the street. The second was not much better but stuck with it. - pool closed. Was not advised of this. Never again !

Looked great on pictures! The room itself reminded me of a prison cell, but without windows and more filthy. De white walls had turned grey with staines everywhere you looked. There was a waterspray instead of a toilet brush. This did not work so we had to poo on our own poop for three days. Shower was inside the toilet, this makes it even worse. Room itself smelled like sewers, again, no fresh air coming in. Only received one toilet roll for three days. Underneath the bed was still stuff from the previous guests. We heard the beeping noises of the elevators all night long… the street the hotel is situated on reminden me more of a strip in a trashy area of mallorca, but then worse. But that might be your thing. Pool was nice though, only the music was very loud and a mix of ed sheeran, music for kids and progressive goa trance which was a very strange combination to me.

Room Tip: Keep away from this hotel, there are much cleaner and better ones in this price range.

I have stayed at the D&D Inn every time I come to Bangkok. Right in the middle of things in Khao San Road, it’s a great location. I have seen it develop over the years and even build a sister hotel across the Deng Derm. The facilities on the roof have been upgraded, although the removal of the massage was a bit of a blow I must say. Coming back from a day of walking meant a trip to the roof for a massage before heading out for dinner. Ahh well it is what it is. The roof area with pool certainly looks better and it seems they haven’t quite finished with more improvements being done. Well here’s the kicker, what I didn’t account for and would I have known I would have, can’t believe I’m saying it, but stayed somewhere else! Khao San road itself is as always a hustle and bustle of activity, but after the street vendors have all gone it turns into a nightclub, with each bar trying to compete for your attention. They well they do this it seems is by who can play the music loudest. Now I admit I maybe showing my age, or maybe not after speaking to a few other people, but having a bass that is so loud that it vibrates your bed until 6am isn’t the way forward for a good nights sleep for me. Yes I said 6am! The music is non stop at full blast until 6am everyday day of the week. So my advice is either if you can beat them join them and get in at 6am so it’s quiet and you can sleep or buy some ear plugs. If I were you though I’d stay somewhere around the corner.

Booked 3 nights here, so sorry I didn’t book one first to check it out. The minute I opened the bedroom door I walked into a web and the smell of mould and dampness hit me straight away. But I gave it a shot. Taught maybe room hadn’t been used in a while and opened windows and turned on air con.. Room was dark and for me didn’t look the cleanest. I decided to try one night to see what it was like taught maybe I might have been over reacting. Woke the next morning to severe smell of dampness and a cough. I decided to book another hotel along the road and leave . I tried calling reception to ask for another room but no answer. I was going to go down to reception and ask but I decided I didn’t care about losing two nights and just decided to leave as I didn’t want to stay there . Also the biggest spider I have even seen in my life appeared as I was in bathroom.. nearly died! One good thing is the shower was very good and the staff were nice so cannot fault them there. Oh and the pool on the roof is fab and views are amazing from there. So that’s all the good points I have !

Lovely hotel, amazing rooftop pool and bar and comfy beds. Our room was at the front of the hotel so at night the noise coming from the bars was loud. The whole of Khaosan road is currently under construction so from 7am until 9pm there is constant drilling therefore it might be worth paying extra for a room at the back of the hotel. The bathroom had small insects running around the sink area.

Stayed here with a friend during our 6 month trip to south east Asia. Exceptional value and location is perfect for people who want to have a good time and party! If you wanted something a little bit quieter then try places on the next road where you can find hotels away from the nightlife. I personally would 100% go Back :)

This hotel is a scam. Do not book it. I will explain why: 1. This is a 3-star hotel with some rooms at 1-star (as far as I could understand). I booked and paid (not cheap) a 3-star hotel (I thought) but got a room with characteristics and standards of a 1-star room. I mean not even that... 2. The cleaning was very bad. We arrived into our room there was a needle in the floor, a forgotten very dirty green towel in the top of a piece of furniture, the floor was dirty, yellow and brown stains in the sheets and rests of (I think) toilet paper in the shower. 3. The room is just not suitable for anyone to sleep on it. It should not be rented by any money to anyone because you are basically sleeping inside a Discoteca. It is not only really really loud music. The floor shakes (yes, I know!), the bed shakes, everything shakes with the bass of the music outside. I mean you should give the minimum conditions to someone sleep no matter the price, location, etc. One thing is the characteristics and some faults of your stay another completely different thing is a scam.
