I spent my first days in Thailand in this guest house. The place is really clean and a little bit out the main street, a little bit hidden. Owners are nice, the place is not far from the center. You have a boat bus at 5 - 10 minutes by feet. I found the place very beautiful too. Carfeful, there... More

Great hostel, very centrally located but totally tranquil and green old style easy to get to the centre, atmosphere and everything. we book for 2 nights with no advanced payment but when we came everything was neatly prepared. The host took his time to gave us some instruction about the city and how to avoid to be rip off. they... More

The guesthouse is well located. It's not downtown, but it's a walkable distance to the boat station, to a local market, to a 7 eleven and the Khao San Road. I had an A/C room downstairs during the hot season. A/C felt good, but the room was in the main hallway on the first floor, next to the common bathroom.... More

This was a great little guest house in a peaceful location in Bangkok. The food was great, the staff very helpful and the room comfortable and clean. We had an AC room which was very useful as the temperature was beginning to climb towards thirty five degrees when we were there. It was walking distance to the river at Thewet... More

We rented a king room with fan & shared bathroom for 500 baht/ night. The room was very clean, guesthouse atmosphere was very cozy. I found the staff to be very friendly despite the previous reviews I had read- I believe the confusion to be due to a lack of English for some of the staff? But they we're defiantly... More

the place is clean, the bedroom is simple but OK. it is near the chao praya boat very useful to go to the main attractions in Bangkok. you need to know that the walls are very thin so you hear everything around. After all the nice reviews we have read before our stay we have been disappointed by the owner.... More

The Guesthouse is located in a quiet narrow alley. If you are looking to stay away from the business and the crowd of Khao san road this place will be a really good option. It is also situated near a Pier where you can catch a ferry to get to the main area of the city very easily for only... More

Nice rooms, nice and clean amenities, friendly staff. Peaceful, yet close to the Khao San madness. 7/11, water taxi, various restaurants. Delicious food on site (albeit slightly pricey). Highly recommended!

Staying in Dusit

Neighborhood Profile
Dusit
When wandering around the Dusit Palace grounds, you'd almost forget you're still in a Southeast-Asian city. The Renaissance-style buildings and leafy gardens wouldn't be out of place in an European capital, and the serenity here is in stark contrast with the chaotic city life outside of its complex walls. Dusit is one of Bangkok's oldest districts, and while the rest of Bangkok is modernising at a rapid pace, Dusit seems to have stood the test of time. Come here to find family businesses in traditional shophouses, small-scale local markets and streets unfazed by modern city life.
