This compact hostel was cheap, well located as it's near a BTS station, Embassies, Shopping centers and Lumpini Park, good looking enough to show off to friends despite its cheap price and a, clean and complete. The hotel keepers were quite friendly and informative, they spoke english. They did cash payment, e-bookings, credit card payments and nearly all kind of...

We have stayed here 2 other times previously, and this time we got the largest room (Double Deluxe aka Private L) which overlooks the street. The room sizes are pretty much the same throughout each room type, just that the balcony adds a further 5 sqm or something. It is functional if you like to sit outside, although the view...

This hostel isn't anywhere near backpacker hotspot Khao San Road, which you might think is a good thing but I didn't think so, the only significant thing nearby is the Patpong night market, in which you can buy fake watches and be hassled by unsavoury characters offering you girls, boys, ping pong shows and drugs. The staff in the hostel...

I chose thrive hostel because it was close to the hospital, which served my purpose. However, I found the staff to be less than helpful. The lights in the dorms won't turn on until you climb up on your bed in the dark (I was top bunk) and put your key into a slot. I must have banged my knee...

Located in Silom, one of the busiest area in Bangkok, stone throw away from BTS station, make this hostel very strategic location wise. It is very cheap too. We stay in a double room with ensuite bathroom. Although the room is very small, but it serves its purpose - to sleep and rest. The room is considerably clean, design is...

We enjoyed our 2 night stay, everything was clean and quiet even though it was on a main road. The showers were nice and the beds comfortable. We didn't use any of the services if there were any, but it was close to a lot of restaurants and street vendors, though I think the government is banning the latter.

Checked in for the first 3 nights of our 6 month trip & we were very pleased with our choice... Great location near BTS so managed to get all the way from the airport using local transport via the airport rail link from BKK! Booked the small private & we will book again, yes it's small but has everything you...

Well, this hostel is great in many departments, IMHO. Location wise it's awesome if you want to easily explore BKK with train, MRT or buses since it's just a stone throw away from the stations (Silom). Around it, there is Lumpini Park, Pat Pong area where you can go to the night market, places to eat, and, if you're into...

The hostel is full of friendly staff (especially a cute receptionist ;P) who can help you with directions to places of interest...which is a big help! The cheapest room features air conditioning and 2 sets of double bunks as well as universal powerpoints so you dont need to buy an adaptor! Laundry services are available for 50 baht per kg...

We stayed here for about 5 days in BKK and we love it. Their staff is very helpful. Our room is really small but worth the price. Location is good, near from the BTS or MRT... I don't remember. I also near from the night market, I bought my luggage in their with good money.

Staying in Silom

Neighborhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
