Checked in for a third stay at Thrive & we didn't enjoy this as much as the other two times... We have always just booked the small private room and did the same this time but felt like the room was tiny; sure it was the smallest one we have ever had because of the unusual shape of the room....

Stayed in an S private room - XXS I believe it should be sold under. We arrived early and the room wasn't ready (understandable completely) they advised we could use the communal shower to freshen up however, but had to pay to rent a towel 20 or 40 baht I think. Communal showers were ok. Also have to have a...

Firstly, the architecture and design of the hostel is very funky and the location is fantastic as it is right beside Lumpini Park, Silom and the Patpong area. I booked a private room as it looked great on the website but the photo was very deceptive, the room was tiny and the price was the same as I had paid...

Stayed here for 3 nights with a friend in a little tiny private room. Well what can i say.. you get what you paid, still it is value for money. The room is simple & unique with Cozy ambience + strategic location! Will definitely be back.

This compact hostel was cheap, well located as it's near a BTS station, Embassies, Shopping centers and Lumpini Park, good looking enough to show off to friends despite its cheap price and a, clean and complete. The hotel keepers were quite friendly and informative, they spoke english. They did cash payment, e-bookings, credit card payments and nearly all kind of...

We have stayed here 2 other times previously, and this time we got the largest room (Double Deluxe aka Private L) which overlooks the street. The room sizes are pretty much the same throughout each room type, just that the balcony adds a further 5 sqm or something. It is functional if you like to sit outside, although the view...

I chose thrive hostel because it was close to the hospital, which served my purpose. However, I found the staff to be less than helpful. The lights in the dorms won't turn on until you climb up on your bed in the dark (I was top bunk) and put your key into a slot. I must have banged my knee...

Located in Silom, one of the busiest area in Bangkok, stone throw away from BTS station, make this hostel very strategic location wise. It is very cheap too. We stay in a double room with ensuite bathroom. Although the room is very small, but it serves its purpose - to sleep and rest. The room is considerably clean, design is...

Staying in Silom

Neighborhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
