This summer we went back to stay at the Bossotel after first staying there a few years ago. Immediately we were struck again by what is this hotel's greatest selling point: the location. It's just a 5 minute walk or so round to the river and Saphan Taksin pier where you can take the river boat up to Wat Pho/Grand... More

Great base can walk 15 mins to the sky train and the long boats up the choaphraya river. Clean and easy to get to. The one way traffic in Bangkok is such a pain however. The breakfast was great, croissant and cereal toast omelets and pancakes. It's 2 mind for a seven eleven but off the main street so it's... More

Came here with my family for the first time and I'm sold to it. The hotel was very clean and nice and it was more than what we expected. The room is clean and not to forget how helpful and friendly the staff were. Despite us checking in late at night, they were still able to check us in so... More

The location is great. BTS station is within walking distance which opens up the accessibility to many parts of the city. We stayed during Songkran and the neighborhood was very festive and playful, but remained respectful. The best thing I liked about the hotel was its breakfast buffet. Dishes tasted like home cooked meals and the variety was nice.

I stayed in the hotel a few times but not recently. Wherever I stayed in Bangkok, I managed to have one or two massage session there. The technicians were friendly and the facilities were much better than the massage shops in other areas of Bangkok. I loved the food there as well - the taste, the display and the environment.... Apparently there is a few bossotel, or so I heard so need to inform the taxi driver this Bossotel is the one at Bangrak. Chances are some taxi drivers won't know, so instead tell them it's Shangri-La Hotel Bangrak. It's just 2 minutes walk from Shangri-La. The service is good with very fast response while I reserved the room. The... More

We used to always pass the Bossotel when we walked down the Soi from Charoen Krung Road from wherever we were staying to our favourite riverside bar, Jack's Place. On our most recent trip to Thailand, we decided to give it a try: an excellent decision, as we liked everything about this accommodation. We had a spacious, impeccably clean room... More

Great rooms, comfortable beds, great location, friendly staff, nice pool, and it was convenient to have a gym. Spa next door is very nice. Only thing lacking is breakfast included. But room service was fast and high quality. We would definitely stay again!

We didn't expect much for 1350 baht a night, but being just up the road from the Shangri-la besides the river, we were surprised to get a buffet breakfast, free Wi-Fi, pool, gym all for a fraction of our nearby neighbor. The standard room was quite comfortable with a safe shower and air-conditioning. Free water in the glass bottles and... More

Staying in Silom

Neighborhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
