With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.

I like hotels with local charecter and Hotel Ariston got that Thai feeling . This hotel does not fit the 4 * qualities however the rooms are clean , good size with confortable beds . The free breakfast is nice . The hotel was the cheapest in the area when I made my booking . Near the sky train and a classy mall with good food outlets . This hotel got bath tub and does not have shower cubical so it may not be practical for some persons . Hotel got poor internet connections in the rooms .

Stayed for 02 nights from 27th ~ 28 Sep 2018, the room was on 08th floor. The decor and furniture is quite old and needs renovation. The buffet served is good for Japanese/Thai or Chinese travelers. Being a vegetarian did not had much choice. Limited fruits were there on the buffet. Overall if you need a mid level budget hotel in a quite surrounding then go for it else there are ample of other choices.......

This hotel located in Sukhumvit area in between with Hilton and Hyatt hotel and not far with Phrom Phong BTS on the middle of one of the busiest way in Thailand. The hotel ambience is good and quiet enough in night, noise or sound of traffic almost not hear during take a rest. However the interior and furniture is look like we living in 90's era, only LED TV that shown we live in 21st century with limited channel only for Thai channel and Japan channel. The other interesting point is that room I stayed have safe deposit box, but don't imagine this safe deposit box like in the common hotel. This safe deposit box don't have number button for lock combination but they using some slot and not found how to locked this box. The bathroom was clean enough, and also have standard toiletries but they didn't provide for toothbrush and toothpaste so you must purchase by yourself. The good point is we can find 7 eleven beside the hotel. This hotel is one of the favorite hotel for many Japanese person. Almost 75% the guest in this hotel are Japanese. and feel like you are not in Thailand anymore but like in Tokyo or other city of Japan. If you want to find good price hotel for take a rest only this hotel probably suitable for you, but if you want to hotel with full facility like 4 or 5 star hotel it's better to find another hotel.

It's true that the hotel could use a renovation, nothing major. I believe new carpet, lamps and curtains in the room and a blindex in the shower would already make a great difference! The common area is charming and grandiose. I really liked the piano player during lunch buffet. I am open to new cultures and enjoyed the "japanese-style" breakfast, but improving " western choices could be a plus with foreign guests. The location is definetely the best for those wanting to mix business with tourism ;-)

We booked one night, Chinese New Year. Twin room. The room smelled awful, probably because the carpet was very old and dirty. The pool was dirty, and for a hotel with over 150 rooms, there were only four sun loungers by the pool, and the one I had was broken. No pool towels, no pool bar. The hotel staff were great, and breakfast was OK. But bedause of the dreadful smell in the room corridors and room from old carpets we almost booked out again, but after a late night, decided to suffer the smell. The staff work hard to make it good, but are defeated by lack of investment and the need for upgrade of carpets and pool-side ameneties. Would not recommend.
