I stayed 4 days in the Green House Hostel, its location is perfect, just one block to the popular Khaosan Road. The rooms are simple. The only bad thing it was the stairs. I stayed in the 4th floor and had to carry a big suitcase all the way upstairs. So keep that in mind when booking this hostel.

First have in mind that there is another hostel in Bangkok with the same name satiated in a really bad neighbourhood on the outer side of the city. After my friends and I figured out it is not the right place we called our receptionist and she helped us find it. It is situated on the back side of the...

I stayed almost one week in the Green House Hostel, its location is perfect, near to the main temples and close to the popular Khaosan Road. The rooms are quite simple but clean and the most important thing is that you won't be annoyed by the noisy. The staff is super friendly and helpfull, a special tought for Ed. In...

The rooms in this hostel are fairly basic but does the job if you are looking for somewhere clean, comfortable and air conditioned to rest your head whilst you explore Bangkok. This is right next to Koh San Road and central to mostly everything Bangkok has to offer! Location-wise it is definitely up there! The restaurant/bar is amazing!! The menu...

This is a great hostel if you want to be close to the Khaosan Road and other attractions. The staff are friendly, the ground floor is a restaurant that serves western food as well as thai. I'd go again.

One of the cheapest hostels we find in Bangkok. The room was totally ok and the resturant/bar of the hostel provides a nice environemnt to your experience. Good location and really helpful staff. Recommended for backpackers.

I was quite a bit disappointed by green guest house. I booked a twin room to get some sleep before my flight home. The room is really small which wouldnt be the Problem but on top of it, the room had an unpleasant smell. The fan didnt help either, since it smelled weird also. I slept okay because i was...

If you need somewhere to lay your head for one night this will do, but if you want to be the tiniest bit comfortable keep looking. Stayed in a 3 bed, shared bathroom room on the 4th floor. The door location is such that it is impossible to walk into the room with a backpack if the bathroom door is...

This hotel is in a great location just one block over from Khao San Road. The atmosphere is really nice. The general manager and staff are all so kind and very helpful. This really helps make the place.

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighborhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
