After spending 2 nights in hotels in Bangkok we (my friend and I) thought we'd try a hostel for the first time and we're not disappointed. Stayed in a 10 bed dorm with only us and two other in. Rooms were big and every resident has their own lock box in the dorm. Beds and comfy and shower are okay....

Stayed for couple of days and chose to stay here due to its location and price. We actually stayed before at Sabye Bangkok which is just adjacent but decided to transfer here. We had the private room at the 4th level. Pros: - 10-15 minutes walk to Kaoshan Rd. - Food stalls nearby - Very friendly staff. Mindy is the...

Asked a girl to turn the air conditioning on. She had it at 23 degrees, I asked if it could be turned to 20 degrees, and told her the guy the night before did this no problems. It was about 9:30pm and she claimed that other people might be woken up as we had this conversation. I told her there...

Great hostel. Big beds, very clean, great atmosphere and friendly staff. That’s all you need really. The hostel is perfectly located as you have loads of food stall down the road as well as the no1 place to eat in Bangkok "snack bar" ran by a cool Canadian dude. Also you have Mr Chars Bar a friendly Thai man who's...

Cool hostel in great location near khao san road. Nice staff and beds are comfortable. Even a guitar lying around for a sing-a-long after partying. Computers available downstairs too with wifi and a big TV with heaps of movies.

I stayed at 3Howw for 3 nights in a private room. The room was more like a hotel room than a hostel room! It's clean, comfortable and has a TV, ac and a desk. The showers and bathrooms were always clean. I was able to have a warm shower, which in Thailand is rare! There is a nice "chill out"...

In November, I booked a 4 bed dorm room on internet and I chose to have breakfast for 80 Baht. I later found out that it was free for everyone and I didn't get any special dish! I was just disappointed. I didn't care about 80 baht but I did care that I paid for nothing... There are carpet slippers...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighborhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
