Stayed here 2 days ago in Bangkok for 3 days. I already stayed here last 2015 and I am still contented and impressed as ever. The service was actually better, reception was very quick to respond (albeit not very warm and hospitable like other comments here), the room was already available for early check-in, and they also granted my special...

Verdict: I won't be back! 😕 Here are the reasons why Good: Centrally located but about 15 mins drive from the MBK shopping center so I suggest you'd rather look somewhere there. Cleanliness or Dirtiness: See photo as proof. That takeaway cup, those bottles, the takeaway bag...they were not mine and had been there since my arrival. The rubbish bin...

Stayed here for couple of days during my trip to Bangkok last month. Booked single bed room for quality sleep and was impressed by the service. Bathroom is shared but i think i was the only one on the whole floor so they were always pristine clean. Had AC in room which is always beneficial in Bangkok heat. Staff was...

I was at the end of my five months of traveling and I needed my own space. There was a room available here for around 20 USD with a single bed, small TV, AC and bed side table. It was all I needed! There was a very clean shared bathroom (this is a hotel, not hostel) and the staff were...

We stayed here for 3 days while on a short stay in Bangkok. Really great location close to Khao San (about 10 minute walk) but very calm and very quiet. Bathrooms were shared (hostel style), but were all maintained in great shape. Breakfast, if included in your room booking, was fantastic! The staff are also all very friendly and helpful....

We had the pleasure to stay at the Baan Dinso Ratchadamnoen (also called the Baan Dinso 2 - the sister hotel is up the street) for 3 days this July. We were a little worried at the label "Boutique Hostel" but there was no cause for alarm - we took a room with a private bath and it was fine....

Wanted a hotel not in the middle of Khaosan but still with walking distance. If you are looking for one like me, it would be the one. Pros: less than 10 mins walking distance to Khaosan. GOOD breakfast. Friendly staff. Good size room. Good mattress. Good size bathroom. Cons: Could hate the noise of the cars passing by if you...

Baan Dinso is a great little hostel, it is close to the old city and the main temples. The rooms were very clean, the breakfast is really great and the staff is helpful - we even got some sandwiches packed when we told them that we'll need to check out early before breakfast time. The room can be a bit...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighborhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
