We booked the hotel from an app, hotel ambiance was appalling and so was the location however the rooms were surprisingly not bad if you a traveler who like to rest once you are done with your sight seeing or travelling with your family "this hotel is not going to work for you" but if you like to Party/Eat/Dance till late night this hotel could be a good option. Pros: Rooms were big enough, close to Sala Daeng BTS, close to Pat pong night market, Clubs and restaurant. Cons: No Restaurant or kettle of tea coffee and location which works for most of the solo travelers but not for the rest. Connectivity from Airport is not bad at all you need to you need to take MRT from Airport to Makasan or Phaya Thai (Cost 45 Baht PP) and then change and take BTS for Sala Daeng station (Cost 28 Baht PP) and from there you need to talk about 500 Meters to get to hotel by train however If you are in group of 3-4 can take a taxi from Airport which is definitely more convenient and reasonable cost THB300 to THB400-- all in.. This will *include* 1) The THB50 airport-mandated surcharge, 2) The normal expressway tolls (total of THB70) paid enroute to downtown, and 3) A reasonable drivers gratuity.

Really good location if you want to go to patpong market, it is right across the street from Electric Blue the gogobar. Theres alot of gogobars around the area so defintely not recommended for children. However if u don't care and just want a place to stay after a stroll to the market then this place is perfect. However the music was so loud till 3am and even though i stayed in the room which was at the back of the hotel it was still really noisy and my whole room was shaking when i was trying to sleep because of the bass. The room itself is in my opinion quite scary it was dark, the walls were wooden and there were mirrors everywhere and there was a picture of a naked women on the wall... very random... hence I believe its a hotel for when foreigners find a local and get a cheap room to do stuff... when i got back to the hotel for about 12.30am there was noone at the reception desk. I was told to leave my room key at the reception but to be honest I could have just taken any key that was left there and entered any of the rooms because it was just left unattended at the desk... hmmmm....
also there is apparently free wifi but it didnt work at all!!!!
But nevertheless. Cheap room great location.. Just dont keep your valuables in there.

Hotel is located excellent location at Patpong area. First 2 night I stayed at standard room which is $25per night per room, which is ok compare to other hotel near by this area. There is nothing special in this Hotel except location, 5 minutes’ walk you can access to nearby BTS which is gate way to several location at bankbook without tuktuk. If you’re travelling with family please don’t book this hotel its hotel for couple and single man. Last 2 nights I stayed at Standard suit – (room with sitting area) I don’t recommend these rooms. Bath room is very small and there is no water pressure at shower. It’s not a hotel for comfort. If you need bed to sleep in good location go for it

First of all, to all those who had posted reviews for this hotel, I think to be fair, all hotels in Patpong are not meant for "family hotels", especially if the hotel is smack right inside Patpong itself. Patpong 1 & Patpong 2 are also not meant for kids, eventhough you could bluff yourself to say the night market there. The rows of bars along Patpong are not meant for kids.. period.
I booked Strand Inn Hotel through Agoda and got myself a Bungalow. The bungalows are at the roof top. There are a few bungalows and they have some kind of a garden there which would be ideal to have a party.
The price I got was a steal as compared with most hotels with the same room type. The room have a jacuzzi which is something I always looked for whenever I look for accommodation. The jacuzzi works perfectly.
Wifi is also available although limited connection when inside the bungalow which I'm sure could be, and would be resolved by the hotel.
Bed is comfortable, pillows are ok, not hard.. and room decor is good. When I was there, one of the curtain hinges were out of place.. but I'm sure the hotel would have taken care of it by now.
The reception of the TV in my room was bad but I didn't report that to the hotel cos I wasn't spending my time watching TV so I can't say for sure if they would immediately rectified that if I have reported it.
The bar in the room needs to be looked into, cos some of the items looks old. I'm not saying it's expired but I think a good practice would be only to replenish them whenever there is a booking coming.
The location of the hotel is not readily prominent as the front could be like any shop front. If you're taking a taxi there, just go right in to Patpong 2 and stop right at Club Electric Blue. It's just opposite so you can't miss it. Anyway, once you know the location, it's easy cos it's easily assessible to the main street and even neat the BTS.
For night life revellers, the location is great cos it's right opposite Club Electric Blue, one of the top agogo bars in Patpong if not the top, according to my opinion.
There's no restaurants, etc. within the hotel so you don't have breakfast, etc but it's ok with me cos I normally forgo the breakfast in the hotel and go out to eat some of the local food and restaurants in the area abound. Only thing, looking for local food looks to be difficult in Patpong.
I'm not sure about the "loud" music as reported by some probably because I stay at the bungalow. I'm aware of the "short time" business but it doesn't affect me, again cos I'm staying at the bungalow.
Personally, I feel that Stand Inn Hotel, if you book at discounted deal, is good value for money cos considering the room standard and jacuzzi, it's hard to get at below 2,500 Baht. Doesn't matter what you might say that other hotels cost more cos the hotels have facilities and amenities as seriously, so what if a hotel has salons, restaurants, clubs, etc? You still have to pay to use them or go for their services.
I would use Stand Inn Hotel again if I ever go for short trips to Bangkok without my family, anytime.

The place is really nice in the central location, in famous Silom. This hotel could easily get more stars but the only problem is that as it is inner building there are very few windows on corridors and in the rooms. Another problem might be noise as on the lower floors there is located a night club and on the weekends the music plays quite long over there. The staff is very friendly and helpful. My computer and phone could not connect to the internet in my first room so they upgraded me for free to another one. The place is also clean, The beds are huge and comfortable. Great value for the price. There is not many facilities, but you can find everything in the surrounding area. Definitely recommendable.

We checked in at 01.30 , reception area had ripped dirty sofas. We had requested 3 rooms that had been let out as they thought we weren’t coming although we had informed them. They did find us alternative very quickly but I wished they hadn’t. Rooms were filthy , blood on sheets and other stains. Paint peeling off the walls and mound everywhere, the place stank, filthy curtains, One of the rooms we stayed in is their profile picture and looks nothing like the picture.Cost £25 a room , absolute rip off . Ants crawling all over surfaces. We left as soon as daylight

Ok let's be fair here it's in the center of patpong one of Asia's most renown red light areas!! But , to have this amount of noise in a Hotel is borderline cruelty!! I arrive a reception and it looks nothing like the photos, taxi struggling to don it always worries me! 4 women on reception and none seem to know my booking. 10 mins later in showed into a damp smelling room that I can only describe as sleazy! Paint falling off the walls, mould in the shower and the bed was questionable..... After a long flight I told myself it's only for 3 nights and settled in.i should have left!1030 it started!! It rattled my family back in the uk!! I mean this was evil! I tried to turn up the tv, tried headphones, thought about murdering the dj! So I wander down to reception at 1 am to be told cancel your stay and we may refund! 4 am it goes to guy's ! I live in the real world and noise is never an issue but this place is torturous!my only recommendation for it would be if you want to party from 1030 to 4am then this is ya place!!!!!

Purely for safety concerns - you should stay away. I almost checked out immediately, but decided as I was only staying one night, I'll take the risk. The place is a serious fire risk, with no obvious fire exits.
You will see in my profile, I am not in the habit of writing negative reviews. I try to keep them realistic, and erring on positive. This single review is an exception.
In the bathroom, the bathroom had bare concrete walls - I'm not sure if they were aiming for an Urbex style, but it just looked unfinished, rather than abandoned. Light fittings were equipped with empty toilet paper rolls directly onto the light bulbs as the light shades (fire waiting to happen). toilet still had urine on the seat from last user/s. a phone number for a prostitute written in lipstick on the mirror. The plumbing functioned OK.
The room itself was OK for money paid. comfortable bed. I liked the artwork on the wall.
I should have done more research on the location of the property before booking. It was in the middle of a gay strip street, My concern was realised; Noise! So much noise coming up from the street (I was on level 3), I couldn't sleep until fatigue got the better of me at 2am.
So in summary: Safety - Stay away, Noise - Stay away. Cost OK.

I stayed here for 4 nights at the end of a 2 week stay in Bangkok. The location is perfect, being 2 minutes walk from the BTS station at Sala Daeng. There are several fast food outlets within metres, as well as the night market on the next street on Patpong 1 and the gay street 2 streets in the opposite direction at Silom Soi 4.
The first room I was given was dreadful. The wooden floor was half-missing, it hadn’t been dusted in who knows how long and the air conditioning didn’t work. Thankfully, they allowed me to move room the next day. This room was much better, albeit with no toilet paper provided on any of the three days.
The bed was comfortable and the bedding spotless. The towels were clean and toiletries were provided. There’s a mini-fridge in the room, too, which is always handy in a warm climate.
The only real downside of the hotel is the noise from the surrounding nightlife, which goes on until 3 a.m. every morning. I was aware of this when I booked, so I always slept with headphones in listening to something calming.
