This hotel is located on Rachadapisek Road, closing to a subway.

The hotel is quite old but they have always renovated in a good condition.

There are many facilities and restaurants for guest selections.

All things were good, excepting water system in a room very weak.

Check-in took some time but friendly staff. Rooms are modern, clean and spacious with complementry water. Breakfast menu was limited. Free tuktuk service to Asiatique (can walk back, only 50 metres from hotel). Free parking. Enjoyed our short stay, will come back.

Despite not being in a central location, this hotel exceeded my expectations. I'd happily stay here again. and I'm equally happy to recommend it to others.

Staff - cheerful, friendly, efficient, helpful and good humoured. Couldn't have asked for a friendlier and more accommodating group.

Room - spacious, with an excellent, king size bed and very comfortable mattress. Fantastic views of the Chao Praya, so well worth the small additional cost.

Breakfast buffet - not the best I have encountered, but very good with a great many choices including freshly cooked items to order.

Chaophya Park Hotel was about 14. km from Don Muang Airport in Bangkok..We paid 300 Thai Bahts for the taxi to shuttle us to the hotel. It was a beautiful leisure and convention hotel with 400 over rooms. It was 10 minutes walk to Ratchadapisek Subway Station which would connect you with Bangkok's Sky train and to the rest of Bangkok for you to shop and visit most interesting places of your choice ..We suggest you take the MRT during peak traffic hours as the traffic jams in the city were one of the worst in Asia despite having a good public transport system .
There was a Fresh Mart in the hotel compound selling essential groceries including liquor and beers for hotel guests which was very convenient for travellers . Just in front of it were two coffee tables with chairs for guests to chat , take snacks or drinks. Since we saw some guests having beers there, we sat at the next table and was having our first glasses of Scotch whisky purchased from there and coolly enjoying it when out of nowhere appeared a security personnel who shook his head in disapproval and told us no liquor but beers could be consumed there. We found that a bit odd .
However the Duty Manager who was ever courteous , hospitable and English speaking whom we met at the Japanese Restaurant Mori Grill made us feel at home with the exotic tasty foods served there with excellent service by staff . They also served excellent breakfast and food at Park Cafe but the service of the staff there fell short of expectation especially by some foreign waitresses .The Lobby Lounge & Bar was a lovely place to relax and unwind after a heavy day with soft melodious music from the band and a wide range of popular cocktails and liquors to enjoy.
The rooms at the hotel were clean with complete amenities and equipped with marble floor bathrooms and free WIFI . We stayed there for two nights on 4th and 5th August.2013 . We would recommend this hotel to you despite those hiccups in service .

The room is really nice, loved it-no complain.Staff are really nice & helpful smiling most of the time. Buffet breakfast is great with lots of choices. Location is a bit far from downtown, quiet surrounding otherwise easily accessible since mrt station Ratchadaphisek is nearby-10min walk. One can get off at Sukhumvit station and connect to skytrain at Asoke.
Chatuchak weekend market is only 2 stops on the mrt going in the Bang sue direction. Thailand cultural centre is also nearby.Airport is relatively near-costs Bhat 170 on metered taxi.

Overall I would rate this hotel as above average.
Would I stay at this hotel again? Yes for the service.

No, because I'd like to experience staying right in the city centre near the sky train next time. I like to get to my hotel right away after the whole day out shopping and my feet refuse to carry me on any further.

We stayed at the Chaophya Park Hotel in late June. The hotel was on the busy Ratchadapisek Rd. but the part near the airport. The hotel lobby looked very Thai traditional with some contemporary flare. The marble reception area was very inviting. The staff at the hotel spoke limited english including the on-duty managers, but they were all very willing to assist in any way possible. We got a Deluxe room that offered excellent value for your money. The room had many amenities including comfortable pillows, comfy single sofa, minibar, and TV with DVD player. The bathroom was spacious with separate shower and tub. The bathroom was also very big too. The hotel offered in-room high speed internet access at 500bts/24 hour. The pool area is a standard pool hotel and offered several pool chairs and bar services. Breakfast in the morning was at the hotel cafe. The breakfast set is one of the better breakfast sets I have seen in Bangkok. There are over 50 selections and include continental fare, chinese fare, and traditional thai fare. The breakfast also includes two stations that offer cook-to-order food including omelettes, eggs any style, skillets, and thai breakfast items. The hotel has a shopping arcade in the basement but seems to be closed because of the lack of foot-traffic. Since the hotel is not in the most tourist-connected area, you must either take a taxi subway to the shopping areas of Sukhumvit. The Ratchadapisek Station is about 500-600 feet (5-minute walk) from the driveway entrance to the hotel. From there, it is 6 stops to Asok Station (about 25bts) where you can transfer to the BTS Skytrain Service. Please be aware that the subway system and the BTS Skytrain system are on two different ticketing system, so therefore buying day passes on one would not get you on the other. Taxi to Sukhumvit/Siam Area is about 150bts including toll. The hotel is extremely close to the Chatuchak Weekend Market, only 3 stops away. This is a must see and one day is not enough. In the end, the hotel is good for the price and the amenities.

I stayed in Bangkok for 11 days & picked this hotel because I wanted to be close to the SP Plastic Surgery Clinic for my procedure. I booked this hotel through Expedia & got an excellent rate of $45 a night including WIFI (I was there during the rainy off season). I considered it to be a very good deal considering there were a variety of amenities onsite, many restaurants, a spa, hair salon, convenience store, fitness center and pool. I had a lovely room overlooking the pool & city, the surroundings were very pleasant and restful. The room itself, although very clean is pretty average. The bathroom is quite large with a separate shower and all marble tile, it was the best part of the room! The mattress is firm but not uncomfortable. The A/C was very effective which was important to me, given how hot it gets there.

The hotel is not in the Bangkok nightlife district which I considered to be a plus. The MRT subway station Ratchadapisek is a short walk, less than 2 blocks. On the way to the station there are some food vendors, I didn't try anything other than the fresh fruit wagon. You can get a small bag of pineapple, mango & cantaloupe pieces for 10 baht which is about 0.35 USD! Many times fresh squeezed fruit juice can be had for $1 from the same vendor. I don't eat much for breakfast so this was a healthy and affordable meal for me. I also found that being close to the skytrain saved me alot of money in taxis. Also the MRT and BTS are new in Bangkok so it's a very clean and modern way to get into town for shopping and nightlife. If you get off at the Silom station, that puts you in the middle of great shopping at the Patpong Night Market as well as many of the popular bars Bangkok is known for. It's one subway from the hotel that will take you there in a little over half an hour- amazingly fast considering the infamous traffic congestion in Bangkok!

Anyways back to the hotel review. I noticed that people commented that it was dark and dingy and 'old school'. There's alot of dark wood and burgundy colors but since the theme of the hotel seemed to be traditional Thai decor- I found it charming. From the shrubs at the main entrance carved into elephants to the nice lobby decor complete with Thai artwork and sculptures, I felt like I was in Thailand & not a bland chain hotel. If you're looking for an ultra modern cookie cutter hotel which looks the same whether you're in Mexico or Dubai than look elsewhere, you won't be happy there. However if you're looking for a hotel with local 'character' that is clean & has great restaurants this may be the place for you. I was pleasantly surprised that the restaurants were so good & reasonably priced by Canadian standards! There are 7 restaurants to choose from, my fave was Al Tara the Thai restaurant, very affordable & great food! Incredibly, it's not easy to find a Thai restaurant in Bangkok.

In short, it all depends on the purpose of your trip. I wanted a clean, quiet hotel with lots of amenities as I imagined I'd be spending alot of time there recovering from my surgery. I also wanted to be close to the skytrain line to be able to get into the night markets and downtown easily and save money on taxis. As a woman traveling alone I also wanted to be in a safe area away from the loud nightlife area. I can honestly say that this hotel met all my expectations.

I stayed in the Chaophya Park Hotel from 9 nights and although the hotel is not in the main shopping or cultural area of hectic Bangkok, the one great plus is that it has the Rachadapisek MRT station right next to it. Thats a wonderful plus! If you are travelling lightly, with not much luggage it is even possible to come in from the airport on the MRT, and miss all the traffic! The hotel has large rooms, including the bathrooms and everything is kept very clean. Although the carpets are not perfect, and in the next round of renovations a subsitute of older carpet, would improve the look and freshness of the rooms substantially. The breakfast is a little overpriced at almost 20 dollars, although there is a fine coffee shop in the lobby if you can make do with a coffee and fresh croissant or Danish pastry as a start to the date. There is also a number of choices of resturants - Chinese, Japanese and well as Thai, on site. The hotel caters for conferences and package tourists. I was there to carry out some training, so I was out from early morning to late in the evening. It was a pleasant place to come back to. There is a small gym, a sauna, and on-site Thai massage, which are all welcome at the end of a long busy day.

I would recommend this hotel for travellers who are not looking to be in the heart of the buss of the city and need an economic and reliable place to rest after a hectic day.

Hi, Not sure how far from BIDC, but can get taxi to reach out to your hotel. Taxi is much better due to rush hour of train and humidity that you have to go thorough.
