We recently spent a night in the Davis on a 1 night stop in Bangkok. As a family with 2 kids we are often forced to split up but the Davis had a two bedroom suite for us that was reasonably priced and offered excellent value. It couldn't compete with the latest and greatest but it isn't far off and... More

Clean and Nice Hotel. SPA is pretty good especially for long-way trippers. Location of the Hotel is bit pity, need to walk about 15 minutes to BTS. But for those who can ride on motor-cycle, no problem:)

We had a relaxing and enjoyable stay at the Davis hotel. The room (executive suite) was extremely large, with 2 bedrooms (1 twin, 1 queen), 2 bathrooms and a large kitchen annex living area. All facilities were available. A perfect isolation and blackout curtains guaranteed a good night rest. Things to improve: cleanliness in the room and the breakfast. (buffet... More

We have stayed in the Davis Hotel several times over the last decade. This visit was a disappointment. The room smelled like a cross between a locker room and a sauna when I first walked in. Every time I entered the room during our stay, my nose began to run. It was not easy to get a taxi at times,... More

Best value in Bangkok!! The hotel has an amazing design. The service is good. Love the roof-top pool but the entrance pool is more charming and quieter. The hotel has a main wing and an annex: the premium room of the annex are From Far the best rooms of the hotel! It's two different hotel, staying in the annex is... More

I stayed in this hotel for two nights in August 2016. We came across it by chance and booked it because it was one of the few hotels still available at a good price (it was the Queen's birthday holiday). Even though most of the hotels in Bangkok were full that night, we paid just US$52/night for it. The location... More

We stayed in a two-room suite. The staff was courteous though a bit diffident while dealing with the Indians. I am a regular in Thailand and have noticed that we Indians tend to be too brash and less than courteous to cultures that are different from ours. I therefore cannot blame them for harbouring such a feeling. In the perspective... More

Davis is a 4 star set up in a good location. Rooms are bigish with strong wifi. Quiet surrounds and a handy store right opposite. Good for grabbing things to munch on or a beer. Staff quite attentive and friendly too. All round good hotel.

We stayed at the villas (Baan Thai) behind the hotel but booked them through Airbnb. The villas are nice and serviced by the hotel. Therefore I cannot comment on the regular rooms of the hotel, which consists of a main wing and a separate building (corner wing). There is nothing which would resemble the flair of a boutique hotel. The... More

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighborhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
