Best value in Bangkok!! The hotel has an amazing design. The service is good. Love the roof-top pool but the entrance pool is more charming and quieter. The hotel has a main wing and an annex: the premium room of the annex are From Far the best rooms of the hotel! It's two different hotel, staying in the annex is... More

I stayed in this hotel for two nights in August 2016. We came across it by chance and booked it because it was one of the few hotels still available at a good price (it was the Queen's birthday holiday). Even though most of the hotels in Bangkok were full that night, we paid just US$52/night for it. The location... More

We stayed in a two-room suite. The staff was courteous though a bit diffident while dealing with the Indians. I am a regular in Thailand and have noticed that we Indians tend to be too brash and less than courteous to cultures that are different from ours. I therefore cannot blame them for harbouring such a feeling. In the perspective... More

Davis is a 4 star set up in a good location. Rooms are bigish with strong wifi. Quiet surrounds and a handy store right opposite. Good for grabbing things to munch on or a beer. Staff quite attentive and friendly too. All round good hotel.

We stayed at the villas (Baan Thai) behind the hotel but booked them through Airbnb. The villas are nice and serviced by the hotel. Therefore I cannot comment on the regular rooms of the hotel, which consists of a main wing and a separate building (corner wing). There is nothing which would resemble the flair of a boutique hotel. The... More

We stayed in Baan Thai (villas) thru a separate organizer but we had the same rights to use hotel facilities as hotel's own guests. For the breakfast: for 200 Baht don't expect much-sticky rice, 2-3 soups, water melon, ananas, little bit of salad, bacon, some times French toast some times potato puree. Room service is moderate. We had a separate pool... More

We stayed for 2 nights in Bangkok. The hotel is located in a nice central area about 15 minutes walking from the nearest sky train. The area gets congested at night. The internet was very slow so if you plan on doing work you will need to be patient. The breakfast which is included is average not as many options.... More

The Davis was one of the first Boutique-themed hotels in Bangkok. It was the epitome of hip when it was new. Unfortunately, it has not aged so well. The place still offers great value rooms and suites for cheap, but the upkeep leaves a bit to be desired. It is clean, admittedly, but it feels a bit worse for wear... More

Had a short business trip, first time staying at the Davis, and I have to say, the room are huge, like, really huge, the deco is rustic with a twist of traditional thai decor, it is value for money, it is near to Emquatier (10-15 mins walk)

stayed here 3 nights- clean and well run, big rooms. Breakfast was included- nothing flash but good value for money. Main drawback is the location in relation to the main attractions in Bangkok- once we worked out the trains/MTR it wasn't too bad getting around

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighborhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
