Booked a different Davis (2 blocks away) from where my friends staying. Very accommodating to help me changing my room right away. Size of the room was good, very roomy. Housekeep did a good job very day. Worth improving is their free wifi, can't even open FB. One has to pay for a more functional wifi when many hotels have... More

I booked the hotel for a stay recently and found out that their description and images on Agoda didn't match what was physically available. On the day of arrival, I found out that the room booked was in one wing and confusion in finding out that the room was in a different wing. The other problem at checkin was the... More

We travel to BKK a lot and stayed at many hotels of various levels, from $35/night to $150/night. The Davis hotel is now our go-to place as the value (regular room at around $70/night) is incredible for what you get. Rooms are quite spacious and well-equipped. The bathroom is nicely and efficiently laid out, with both a tub and a... More

This hotel is located in a beautiful part of Bangkok. There are two buildings to this hotel. One is decorated in an antique style and the other a more modern feel. The bathrooms are huge with a bathtub, which is hard to find in Thailand. Definitely try out the cute French Bakery across the street. If you stay here you... More

Some staff were very helpful and professional; others were not. One of our rooms was upgraded to a suite but another was very, very small. Rooms were nicely decorated - not standard hotel fare. Internet was frustrating.

I have been staying at The Davis when I travel to Bangkok for the past 10 years. I keep going back as it is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, clean and stylish. The staff are professional, friendly and very helpful. The location is superb. There are a number of excellent... More

The staff was professional but not friendly - I think it may be the only hotel I have ever stayed in Bangkok that did not have a doorman or someone to welcome you when you came in. The restaurant was fine - not amazing, but it did in a pinch. The room was clean and the water was hot. It... More

I have made my reservation in Davis hotel during a stay in a different facility. At first I was really delighted by the photos, so without much thinking, I've decided to buy a room. After that, I've decide to check some opinions at TripAdvisor... I was very surprised about all the bad opinions. I had a moment of hesitation, that... More

Every time when we go to Bangkok we choose to stay at this hotel because of the location and its really cheap. Breakfast is quite average, not variety but it's ok. Rooms in main wing buildings is better. Anyway, this place is always my first choice to stay in Bangkok.

A good boutique hotel with a variety of rooms ranging from $40 to $200+. Whether it's the ambassidor suite with an en suite jacuzzi, steam and sauna or the cheapest corner wing suite, the rooms decor, size and bathrooms are really good. The pool , gym and breakfast are on the main wing and is a short walk , if... More

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighborhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
