- staff are friendly enough, which is in line with every hotel we stayed at in Thailand. - Large room but no where to store bags, except on the floor. - Nice location - only a short walk to the station or to a main shopping strip. - Weird raised floor in the bedroom. Who puts an artifical floor with a step in a bedroom? Only tripped over this once but got wise and left towels and pillows on the floor overnight so that the change in height was far more obvious in the dark. Similarly having light switches on the floor was a first for me. - stay away from the travel desk. The staff here are more than happy to rip you off, and are no more trustworthy than the Bangkok tuk tuk drivers! Take any information they give you with a grain of salt and double check prices before signing up for anything with them. - drinks and food are truly overpriced, but with the 'buy one get one free' drink offers they had in the afternoons they became far more affordable, and the roof top bar was a nice place to relax with a cocktail. - My main concern was when the fire alarm was activated during the night, there was no lighting in the fire stairs. We navigated down from level 33 using the light on our phones. In the lobby there was no staff to be seen (possibly busy) and the security guard out the front had no idea what was going in (which is fair enough, because his job was traffic management into the site). He did however make a call on our behalf and advised us it was a false alarm. This was only possible using a translation app on my phone. They could have announced this via the Public address system, as reception staff speak English.…
Stayed two nights at executive room under the staycation package including spa and credits with a good deal, the hotel is nicely decorated and the service at reception is great, the breakfast is good but it’s way overpriced at the roof top bar with fair food, and the room service is a disaster, the dishes are nicely presented but the taste is awful, not suggested to eat there except the breakfast. I will still going back if there is the same staycation Package, if not, will not go again.
Very large room with a great view. Good location next to a Skytrain station with easy access to the city centre and also a short walk to the river and tourist ferry boats. Lots of choice at breakfast, quick and efficient service. We were disappointed with the roof top bar food which was very overpriced and the service was very slow. Overall a good hotel and apart from the rooftop bar, well priced.
Stayed here due to business travel but not my choice should I have to choose. Customer service needs vast improvement as I asked for twice not once for laundry form and bag but didn’t come. I asked before dinner and asked again after I came back at 1145pm.. but to no avail. Breakfast is so so though there is quite a few choices .. Sky bar is overpriced on drinks which u can give it a miss. Only good thing is that it is close to bts station.
Good sized room with big bathroom. Staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are made up well every day. Plenty of choice at breakfast but at first was difficult to find a cup of tea! Handy location as the Skytrain station is right outside the door. Blue Elephant restaurant and cooking school is just across the road and there are plenty of other places catering for all budgets to eat within a shot walk. If you want to pull up a red plastic chair and eat with the locals, I would recommend Laab Ubon Kontrakran which serves great food and is very popular and less than 10 mins walk away. Great pool area on the 11th floor, no problem finding some where to sit or lay after a busy day sightseeing. The hotel has 360 views from the rooftop bar, get there before six for happy hour cocktails and watch the sunset with relaxed music vibes.…
Nice hotel. Drinks and food expensive. Room highly stylised but impractical. Room dark so difficult to see to do makeup. Limited mirrors. See through toilet door. Limited privacy unless blinds down enhancing the darkness. No iron in room but available if requested. Staff accommodating but need to reduce drink prices. No parasols by sunbeds. Coffee or water not available at pool bar!
nice hotel. looks modern n new. slightly far from the main shopping area eg mbk, Siam paragon etc but conveniently has a bts train station right in front of the hotel. rooftop bar had good views of the city. bathroom is not well lit though. could be dangerous for elderly
Reception staff serves the system, not guests. The check in process might take forever, please be prepared accordingly. Whoever is in charge for the front office part currently should consider himself/herself in this job. Do not expect to get your room before the standard check in time. No phone answering on late night. Towels at the pool is never enough and it takes forever to get it when you call the reception. You simply pay for a nice bigger-than-standard room on a nice location here but nothing more. Overpriced rooftop bar-do not go up, unless you’re there for the happy hour. Drinks are so so, though.
Due to well experience prior Covid -19 time, we visited again. Location is excellent! Customer handing style of Front desk staff was a little bit tough. No smile. Especially front desk manager does not have flexibility on the necessary assistance of us. He just simply refused through by his/her staff even not show himself. If you stayed more than 3 consecutive days breakfast become boring not much variety.
The staff at Mode Sathorn were excellent! There were a little issues with the room but were rectified immediately. Special shoutout to Jirakorn (Pete) from Front Office and Kathathep from Security for helping me change the sheets even though they were not from the Housekeeping team! Thank you so much!
