My wife and I stayed here for 1 night before catching a connecting flight back home.

Lovely rooftop swimming pool, spacious room, comfortable bed. Have to say the food we had here at the Hotel restaurant is an absolute must, was the best Thai meal we had on our whole trip, and at a very reasonable price! Drinks superb.

Overall very happy indeed.

Unique boutique hotels where you can find a peace of mind.
A sanctuary in the heart of Bangkok.
Feeling cozy and private like staying at home with corners to sit and get through the day with reading piles of books.
Tasty Esan Thai cuisines that one must try.

Perfect little boutique hotel nestled in a wuiet sukhumvit soi. Hotel is done in a colonial style and staff are gracious and courteous. Lovely suites, although the bathrooms are very small. Rooftop pool is lovely. Very quiet hotel with beautiful colonial decor. Good location for Partying at Quince, access to Emporium, access to BTS.

My wife and I were really disappointed. The location is great with access to the Sky Train down a quaint little street but the property and service were lacking. It is a unique property and best described as a boutique hotel. We had a very different impression than most but very similar to some. The property is not just quaint, it’s in poor condition. There are curios everywhere on the first floor but they look better in pictures. In reality it is mostly dark and dank. The smell of mustiness and mildew was very strong in some areas. My wife couldn’t even take the elevator because the odor was so bad. The way leading up to the pool was stark and spooky. The pool area itself was in very poor condition. Our reservation and payment was for a second floor room with an attached balcony off the room. We didn’t get that. When we questioned it we were told our room included the common areas with other guests and that’s where our balcony was. No shower, tub only. While the staff were not not unfriendly they certainly weren’t particularly helpful. Their mood was quite off. We felt uncomfortable and getting information on directions or recommendations was like pulling teeth. For the money there are plenty of other places IMO in BKK to stay and feel welcomed.

I found Cabochon Hotel on TripAdvisor and was pleasantly surprised. The staff and hotel are reminiscent of what luxury travel was like many, many years ago. The staff was warm and accommodating, the décor was filled with time period furniture and antiques, and our room was generously spacious. Centrally located off Sukhumvit, the hotel is a perfect balance of location contrasted with separation from the busy city of Bangkok.

This is it! Don't come here to find the latest gadgets in comfort for the decerned business traveler, but make a visit to the past yet excellent in style and service. Enjoy the wonderful surroundings of a truly colonial style. What makes it all a really very nice experience is the personal service! Yes it is a kind of home. Your size is also comfortable as you will never get lost in a huge building, but you could get "lost" with all the nice decorations and artifacts probably from a personal collection.
The restaurant serving a Thai fare is excellent. Also here the nice personal touch.
Keep it up this way! You are definitely carving a very special place in the heart of Bangkok.
Please do not be in a hurry here, as sometimes the Sukhumvit travel get you stranded. But then there is the BTS nearby!

I had a wonderful time here during my very first visit to Bangkok.
My arrival at the hotel was very early in the morning around 5am, and obviously the room was not ready for check-in until 2pm, but I was kindly offered a room in the ground floor lounge with tea and fruits to relax before the city wakes up - it was very helpful for me to have some space to unwind after my flight from Japan.

The Queen Studio with a double bed, shower and balcony was spacious enough for myself and the room was tidy and clean. The interior of the room and the hotel was in colonial style with a hint of chinoiserie with warm atmosphere. The rooftop pool is not very big, but it gives you a luxuary to look over the skyline of Sukhumvit and chill. As for the restaurant, I did not have a chance to try it this time, unfortunately.

The hotel is conveniently located at the end of a short soi 45 of Sukhumbit between Phrom Phong and Thong Lo (slightly closer to the former), roughly 5 minutes walk from the BTS stations.

A great hideaway just off Sukhumvit with a beautifully curated experience full of curiosities, each room filled for a quiet browse. The things you discover. A step back into a indochin residence, sit back, with a cocktail or two, turn off the phone and relax before you venture out.
Great warm and welcoming service, thank you.
Very easy to recommend.

A wonderful stay in a good location with a 10 minute walk to 2 sky train stations.

Welcoming and charming in a time warp back to the French 1920's style with great detail and awesome real local food and well priced. Little nooks to have breaky, read and chill were great as was the relaxing pool area.

This is an 8 room hotel that can cater to about 16 rooms, truly unique, our room / lounge was superb.

We felt like we were staying at friends and with a warm goodbye wave from the GM and staff on the steps confirmed this. Totally helpful staff and English spoken by all made life easy.

Amazing food & great prices. The atmosphere is amazing and so romantic. The food is delicious. Everything we ordered was so good. Also the interior of the restaurant is so classy and elegant. After dinner we had some tea, in one of the tea rooms. I had such an amazing experience and will definitely be back
