This place *looks* super cool. Not the cheapest private room in Bangkok, but still reasonable (700 baht total for 2 people in a private, air-con room). The ambience is probably the best part: a wooden, treehouse-like building with lots of cozy nooks and crannies. It doesn't even feel like you're in Bangkok blocks away from Nana plaza, which I appreciated.... More

Good Part ::: Budget hotel, antique interior, casual atmosphere, near BTS station and Nana Plaza Bad part ::: Very inhospitable receptionist/hotel staff, No-smoking/ alcohol/food inside room, No guest allowed, Common toilet Selected this dorm type hotel with high expectation. The rude behavior of the staff swept that away.

I stayed here for 3 nights and was really happy it. The place has a ton of character which makes it fun. The rooms were clean and AC worked great in our private room. The free breakfast is very simple, just fruit and coffee. You can have a Thai spin on an egg scramble for a couple bucks. If you... More

We found this from lonely planet. The A/C room with ensuite bathroom was spacious but very basic--nothing special. The hotel was easy to get to via the skytrain-just a block from the Nana station. The building is pretty convoluted and very dark, hot, and narrow on the inside. I was a bit concerned that the all-wooden construction seemed like a... More

Upmarket hostel, location very close to BTS monorail, contemporary/minimal room styling, staff ok, wifi only in common area & pricey! Great restaurant on the ground floor, much timber and greenery, wide range Thai cuisine, relaxing ambience!

The horrible WiFi made it hard to be comfortable here, as we were planning our trip as we went. There are several restaraunts away from the hostel with good connections though. The restraunt attached to the hostel was delicious and the rooms were basic, but clean and with good AC inside the room. I recommend the attached shower/bathroom, depending on... More

I always stay at Suk11 when visiting Bangkok! It is safe and clean, for one of the best values in the middle of Bangkok! It is convenient to get to the train station a few minutes away. The free breakfast is so fresh and amazing! I have never had better Papaya! Love it!

This hostel is awsome. Has the old Bangok feel. Great staff. Strict security. Customer friendliness beyond believe. Love the 1 used breakfast. Great location although find sukumvit area very shabby now.

No "this", no "that".... Can't do "this", can't do "that". I wasn't even allowed to have a beer in my room. Free Wi-Fi??? Try again..... 20 thb for 10 minutes..... nifty place, but after I signed off on all the rules I must follow...... I felt I was living with Mormon parents in Utah...... absolutely ludicrous.... Thailand lost a little... More

Not amazing but does the exact job we wanted it to, comfortable room and WiFi in the common room, can drink in the main room too. If you want hotel service go elsewhere because this is a traditional style of hostel

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighborhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
