We’re family with 2 kids (holding an accor plus platinum card) booking for staycation, arrive at 8pm and received a standard benefit for silver accor member (welcome drink, fruit plate, except a room upgrade), there’s only 2 towel sets and 1 set of amenity for 4 people and baby cot as requested, miss the lounge because its already closed. After unpack and took care of children, we realized that the room was so hot with temp setting at the lowest 18 celcius, the air from the aircon are hardly went out as it like a whisper. The problem was state to the operator immediately, first they tried to send an electrician to see an aircon inside the room, but we’re not comfortable to that, so we need to ask for ourselves to relocate to a new room, the bag was repack, along with children things, my respirator, and the staffs were helping, we finish move to the another (standard/lower floor) room at almost 11pm. The new room took almost 2 hours to cool enough to sleep, meanwhile I borrowed the table fan from the front office which she refused to have it, then it’s bring by a night shift staff. The bathroom is not friendly to elderly children and overweight person, it’s very easy to have an accident by trying to step in and out of the combine mini size bathtub/shower area with no ladder. It was rough and very tried night, nearly my first walkout-to sleep at home experience, but the breakfast is good, nothing happen in the next day as there was no incident at all.…
Very conveniently located hotel. Close to Terminal 21 (7 -10 minutes walk) and 15 minutes to Emporium. Soi 20 and 18 are nice soi. Lots of good restaurants in soi 23. One of the lady (Ying) at the reception was extremely helpful and had great attitude. Generally reception and Conceirge / bell desk staff were excellent. The rooftop bar is an excellent place to relax and enjoy the night sky. Servers are friendly and have good customer centric skills. The breakfast is ok. The waiters and chef here needs training. It was the only dark spot of the hotel. The hotel Tuk Tuk drops you at Sukhumvit which is very helpful
We have just had a very pleasant stay at the Novotel Sukhumvit20. This hotel is very well appointed in a great location for exploring Bangkok. A most enjoyable stay with very helpful and friendly staff. The rooms are very clean and well appointed and all Covid rules rigorously adhered to. I would highly recommend this hotel’s seafood buffet which has an amazing selection of dishes to suit all tastes. As mentioned previously all the staff were very helpful, however I feel I need to mention a few who went above and beyond and gave 110%. At reception was the front desk manager Jira who couldn’t have done more to make our stay as enjoyable as it was. At the front desk was also a young lady call Jam who was very bubbly and very welcoming. In the restaurant area was Sampod Saelim and also Gaem his colleague who greeted us each morning and couldn’t have done more to make our stay as pleasant as it was. I am sure all this was made possible by the influence of the new General Manager Daniele Ruiu who only started very recently and has made some great improvements and I am sure this hotel under his management will go from strength to strength. I look forward to my next visit in the early part of next year. Keep safe. Daniel A…
To me it’s about service, cleanliness and location! Been coming to Bangkok on business and vacation for 35 years and this is my go to hotel! Fair price for breakfast and the Sky bar is always fun! Rooms spacious! But overall great service from all staff ! Highly recommended! Jan Christiansen USA with dual citizenship with Denmark 😃😃😃😃
This was my second stay at the hotel. It offers good value for money, is super clean with friendly staff. Amenities are just what you need. Location is quite good, can be equally suitable for business or leisure travelers. Has a nice rooftop bar. Strongly recommended
My overall experience was outstanding. The environment was pleasant and welcoming. The hotel is well maintained. We only had breakfast at the hotel and the food was amazing. The staff was friendly. The manager was very nice. At Novotel Sukhumvit 20, Locals and foreigners get equal service quality which you might not see in some hotels in Bangkok. We are very satisfied. Definitely my favorite hotel in Bangkok. Thank you very much :)
The people are sooo rude! Not considerate at all. We paid the bill for 22000 bhatt. We were 30 of us. It was our parents anniversary and they spoiled it for us. The people are so rude they don’t listen at all!!!!! The switched off the lights while we had people who were 80 years old and they switched off the lights and it had stairs where we couldn’t even see and when we complained the staff switched off the lights even more and walked off on us. When we complained to the manger downstairs she was extra rude. She literally told us to go !!!! Disgusting!!!!! Will never visit again
Our second stay at this hotel. We stayed from 30April to 3 May. 1. When you walk in and out of the hotel, nobody opens the door for you even there is someone there. Nobody greets you even they see you...they just quickly look down. I'd like a good morning once in a while as these are little touches that makes you feel welcomed. 2. Rooms are great, comfortable with a high pressured shower. No complaints there 3. There is a shuttle to the nearest BTS, but on return; you need to perhaps take a 10 minute walk 4. Probable Pandemic setbacks: no food services after 9pm. Breakfast spread was rather poor 5. Not much to eat around the hotel except some indian restaurants 6. A family mart convenience store across the hotel and a 7 eleven down the road 7. Many hotels along that stretch have closed down for good, grand mercure, best western...etc. Rather quiet street for now.…
I booked a one night stay with Novotel. Initially the booking was with the test and go package but the gov lifted the pcr testing requirement as of 1 May. Novotel granted me a refund and rebook my stay without test and go package. Check-in was fast, services of the staffs were excellent. The room was clean and comfortable but could be brighter (in my opinion). My room has a bathtub but it was too high so will be good to provide a stool.
Unfortunately our trip to the Sky Bar 20 was certainly not what I had hoped for. From the moment we arrived things went from bad to worse. We had a great position up close to the edge and arriving at 5pm , had a great view across the area. However we were given chairs that were wet, and I had to change with another. The waitress taking orders could obviously not see us, there were only 2 tables occupied! , and I had to stand up and ask could our order be taken. Very poor service. Happy hour drinks were limited and the wine my husband asked for was from a bottle well past its use by date, and we had to have a second glass offered, “ from a new bottle.” Really, for what we got it certainly wasn’t value for money. Disappointing visit.
