The room was not bad, large enough for family. Room come with mini kitchen wares, convenient enough. Staffs isn't that friendly, upon check in receptionist keep having fake smile. Most importantly, during my 4D3N stay MONEY WAS STOLEN! I called the hotel and check on it yet the lady who had spoken with me did not bother assisting me and... More

The room I stayed in was quite big and that is the reason I choose the hotel. 50 sq meters for around $50/night was actually a good deal but you wouldn't take the room for the furniture inside. They looked worn out and the hotel felt like it was built around 20 years back with no focus on maintenance right... More

Despite the heading I actually liked this hotel as it was close to the main night spots and was quiet. It was probably once a nice hotel and I liked the decor but it was in serious need of renovation. The staff were friendly and I could easily walk to bars and restaurants and the streets nearby was lined with... More

We stayed one Night at President Solitaire because we arrived late into Bangkok. Because we arrived late we did not want to spend a lot on a night in a hotel we wouldn't be using much. It worked well for this need. The room was spacious but outdated and my boyfriend found cobwebs on his side of the head board.... More

We arrived from Cha Am, Hua Hin and the receptionist changed her attitude the moment we handed our Indian passports. She was poker faced and had no smile on her face and we thought that we were in Hell after our wonderful experience in Cha Am. The room she allotted us was a corner room which was nothing like the... First off: this is my first negative review of a hotel and I have stayed at at least a dozen this year so far. Everything about this place is just wrong! I booked it online using pix and reviews as my guide, but sadly the hotel is complete dud. First off the desk clerk was totally emotionless and a bit... More

My husband has stayed here multiple times over the years so we decided to stay here with our kids on a recent trip. NASTY. The room was in a terrible state of disrepair with leaking shower, ragged towels, dirty sheets and a smell of staleness. We got the presidents suite which I think may have been too inconvenient for housekeeping... More

As soon as we arrived they upgraded us to a better room so that was a good start. The rooms are not modern but are very clean and tidy. the pool is also good but does not get a lot of sun through the day. The staff are very helpful and polite.I would recommend this hotel.

During check out time saw the real face of reception lead staff. I was with my family. He threaten to call police to put me in jail. When i asked them why you charged the complementary water bottles. Years ago it was a real good hotel in a great location - soi 11! The location got even better as soi 11 is developing into a great place to go in the evening with a lot of places to hang out and good restaurants to. But the Solitair missed the keep it's standard. No you can see that everthing... More

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighborhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
