Went for a conference with a group of friends. Conference room was like an old ballroom but it worked well. Food was plentiful and tasty. The staff were amazing and would do anything for you. So polite and helpful and never stopped smiling. The hotel itself is a bit olde worlde with wood panelling in the lifts etc. Some of...

We spent 4 days at this hotel which is centrally located in Bangkok. Although it is an older style hotel it is quite charming. The included breakfast was the day's highlight and included a variety of tastes for all. Our room had everything we could want and the staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcome.

Lovely old style hotel, nice lobby area and rooms are good for the price. Nice pool and outside bar area. Would stay again no problems. Didnt get to try the restaurants there but they did look nice, maybe next time.

I have stayed 3 days at this hotel. Hotel is pretty much ok, location is good and hotel is well known so it is easy to get good tuc tuc price, station is also close, lots of restorants and the night market. I suggest not to eat or drink in the hotel since it is overpriced compering to others and...

Very inexpensive hotel that was well worth the money. I actually stayed here on three different stops in Bangkok over a few weeks. To be clear I gave it 4 stars but this is not a 4 star hotel. It was however a nice large room that was clean, with a comfortable bed, good wifi, and good bathroom facilities. Although...

I stayed 1 week in this hotel, known it is an old one. It was renovate few years ago. The interior you can tell is old style, that has benefit or pretty big size. I like it they use access card to open door and not the old keys. Room is clean and you have everything you need, include a...

Nice hotel, was there before. 10 minutes with tuktuk to Paragon shopping mall and 5 minutes walk to Patpong for the market and the little bars. Nice place to be for watching people with a Shinga 😃👍🏽.

I was lucky to get a good price by booking with Agoda.com (I paid €45 for a room with queen size bed). I needed to spend 1 night in BKK and this hotel was convenience for me. Though the hotel is a bit old, and the internet is a little weak, but I like the location and the Japanese toilette...

Staying in Silom

Neighborhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
