The Rembrandt Hotel & Suites Bangkok garners appreciation for its prime location, highly accessible to Bangkok's central attractions and public transportation. The hotel's ambience is a blend of classic allure and areas that some guests feel could benefit from an update. While the spacious rooms and array of amenities, including dining options and swimming pools, are popular among guests, there are mixed feelings regarding their upkeep and modernity.
Cleanliness and service often receive commendations, with staff members earning praise for their dedication. However, opinions on value diverge, as some guests find the cost of extras steep compared to the overall experience.

Detailed Reviews
Very friendly welcome. Shown straight to our room and our cases were brought up by hotel staff. We stayed on floor 23 with an executive room. The room was very spacious, airy and the bathroom was lovely with bath, shower, hair dryer and plenty of mirrors. There were toothbrushes, shaving kit, comb, cotton buds, shampoo and shower gel, soap and shower caps in the bathroom which were replenished daily. The maids came on the first night while we were out and left 2 beautiful flowers on the bed with a lovely note saying “sweet dreams”, this also happened on our last night which was a beautiful touch!
If you have an executive room you have access to the executive lounge on the 24th floor. In This lounge you can have continental breakfast and between 17.30-19.30 you get complimentary drinks and snacks. The staff in the executive lounge were amazing, very friendly and always smiling.
The location of the hotel was 5 minutes walk to the Sky train and MRT. This is an extremely cheap and quick way to travel around Bangkok. On the road of the hotel there are a couple of lovely bars and restaurants but also if you go towards the main road and turn right there are lots of restaurants and bars down there. If you want somewhere which has a variety of foods on the menu then look out for the “The Hangover” this has Thai, pizza, burgers, pasta etc. I would definitely recommend the pizza, but to share, as they are huge and with plenty of toppings.
Tuk Tuks are everywhere. Be careful and always barter and agree a price before you get on, be warned they travel fast. They are a good wAy of getting somewhere and you get to see about.
The pool is lovely but there is plenty of room for more sun-beds which is very frustrating considering the size of the hotel!
The breakfast in the main restaurant is excellent and the egg station is fantastic.
Just 2 suggestions for the hotel, firstly it would be nice to have granola at breakfast not just cereal and definitely more sun beds.

Great hotel with great facilities and staff.
About 10 min walk from Terminal 21 mall. The hotel provides a free tuk tuk service to the main road as it is a few minutes walk away.
Courteous, smiling staff who can speak English. Beautiful and huge lobby/ reception area with a door man. We got a free upgrade to a delux room on the 17th floor with beautiful city views especially at night.
The room itself was good with ironing facilities, hair dryer, free toiletries and a bath with shower. There is also a safe, fridge and tea/coffee facilities. The bath looked a bit old but rest everything was great. Electronic light control system.
The highlight of the hotel is the Roof top bar and the fine Indian dining restaurant (with live music) on the 26th floor. Loved it!
Great breakfast spread with lots of choices including Indian, Continental, Thai/ Chinese food.
We would definitely recommend this hotel.

We stayed here for three nights in February and had a great time.
23 years ago we stayed at this exact same hotel and it was extraordinary to see how Bangkok has changed over the years.
We booked this hotel again because we knew the location (sukhumvit area) and we liked the hotel very much.
This time we stayed in a "2 bedroom Grand suite" (this is located in a building next to the main building) and the room is really big with a living area with a kitchenette and two bedrooms/bathrooms.
The location is very nice on a side street of sukhumvit with a few restaurants, massage centers, next to the hotel.
Breakfast buffet was in the main building and if you did not have it included with your booking than book it separate you will not find a better deal in the area.
The pools (they have one in each building) are excellent with nice warm temperature.
The staff is very friendly especially George who helped us to contact Emirates air due to lost luggage, he made phone calls and got the right information so that we got our suitcase back in time.
Can recommend this hotel, it won't disappoint

If you need a reasonable hotel to stay in while visiting Bangkok this one is worth considering. The rooms are quiet from external noise - even at the lower level. The Standard room has everything you can reasonably need - comfortable bed, coffee making facilities and free WiFi. Check in was effective if a little chaotic. A major snag with this hotel for us is the lack of an all purpose restaurant - other than breakfast. It means there is no easy option unless you want Indian, Mexican or Italian other than to go out. The good news is there are plenty of sensible nearby options and the hotel location makes accessing Bangkok tourist areas easy. There is a money exchange within 50 metres. There is a pool but it lacks sufficient sun beds and is even more deficient in shaded areas. It is a classic case of a 5 star business hotel losing its edge to new competition and now focusing on groups and using it’s restaurants to attract local external trade. Satisfactory but no more.

Stayed here for 7 nights in August 2019, we arrived very early and the hotel managed to have a room for us even although check in wasn't until 3pm. The staff were incredibly friendly and engaging and also they could not do more for you.
The room was very large and had some fantastic views from it, in addition to this the hotel had some fantastic restaurants onsite and we ate at the Italian and Indian ones. The food was fantastic.
The location is very good, a five minute walk away and there is a sky train station which connect you to all the main areas in Bangkok and is within easy reach.
A very good hotel, great attention to detail and amazing staff !

We booked this hotel as part of a package holiday though Virgin as we had never visited SE Asia before. Fabulous hotel, in a good location, there is a Skytrain just up the road and plenty of taxis that were good value, we just established that they use the meter when we got in which they did. We did book some trips though the virgin rep at the hotel, they were great trips where we had our own personal guide, i would recommend them, as it made it easy on a short trip for getting the most from your time in Bangkok.
There were a couple of little food shops across the road and another one two doors up, we were able to buy milk and drinks and various snacks from there, plus we had a fridge in our room to store the milk and chocolate bars, we also had a kettle so I could make a cup of English or coffee first thing in the morning!
Room was a good size, it was decorated in deep cream with dark wood furniture, good bathroom with a lovely bath and lots of toiletries, bed was massive and very comfortable.
Breakfast was completely amazing, so much choice, from egg and bacon, to Thai food, delicious omelettes made to order, or boiled eggs, fried eggs etc.Pastries, soup, breads, cereals, fruit, yoghurt, there was something for everyone, it was always busy, but staff were efficient and friendly.
Staff all over the hotel were all lovely, they could not be faulted, so polite and helpful.
We ate at the Indian and Italian restaurants, both very very tasty, we also drunk cocktails at the roof top bar, wonderful views over the city and a nice place to watch the sun set.I would love to return to Thailand and if it included Bangkok, then I would without hesitation come back here, I would highly recommend it to fellow travelers.

The rooms at the Rembrandt are always in a great condition and with new ‘social distancing’ regulations the hotel is going above and beyond to give you a great experience even in these new times. The hotel is in a great location for getting to the Asoke BTS, having a drink or massage close by. It’s one of our favourite hotels in BKK. We love it so much we’re going back next week!

Booked 5n in various rooms, executive single, penthouse suite and 2 bedroom suite. The first was an executive room which came with access to the executive lounge, which means snacks and some food included along with free alcoholic drinks 5-30 to 7-30pm. The executive lounge is in pretty good decorative order and the staff here attentive. My problem here was that there was constant drilling and banging from building works. I was told this would stop at 5pm. I wish. The second night drilling started at 1.50am and then 3.00am for about 10 minutes and then intermittently for an hour. I was also woken up at 10.25pm mistakenly by the concierge looking to talk to another room. I was given a free meal and cocktail as compensation but I question why on earth would you let builders work at that time? I was given the impression that they didn’t know they would be working at that time. As for the penthouse suite, it’s rather dated and tired and urgently needs an upgrade. The two bedroom suite is much better looks like it’s had a more recent upgrade although things like cupboard doors are loose and mis-aligned, something that wouldn’t take long to do, I know as I’m in the trade. The breakfast is good and the restaurants not bad value as we were given 25% off as part of the deal. Overall the hotel is in need of some care and attention but can be still good value with the right deal. It is in a great area surrounded by bars and good value restaurants, with the sky train and metro about 10mins walk.

My family and I stayed at Rembrandt hotel for 8 nights and enjoyed our stay here. Rooms were very clean and spacious. The breakfast buffet was very nice and met our expectations. The hotel has two restaurants (both we didn't try) and a rooftop bar which we visited with reasonably priced drinks and good entertainment! , & overall the service provided by the staff at the hotel was excellent. We arrived early to Bangkok and the rooms were already ready so we were extremely appreciative for the early check-in after a 11hr flight from London.
Special shoutout to one of the employees Kim who made us feel very welcomed and delivered exceptional service even outside of her working hours when we spotted her nearby!
The location is convenient located in the area of Sukhumvit, and walking distance to nearest BTS Asok, Terminal 21 shopping mall, and great restaurants such as P Kitchen and Palm 18.
The only downside I have is the hotel wifi cutting out on and off a few times, but we had a Simcard with data so I could hotspot.
I highly recommend staying at the Rembrandt it's a wonderful place to stay!

I am currently doing my quarantine stay at Rembrandt Hotel and even if it’s not the nicest ever stay because of the situation, not because of the hotel , the staff do their best to make it enjoyable as much as possible. They are very reactive every time I contact them by Line or have any question and request.
I’ve been in touch with some of my friends who are also doing quarantine in other place, pay the same prices and I have to say that I’m glad I’ve chose here. The food is properly served hot and always on time. Quantity are more than enough with starter main dish and dessert, menu is varied and I did not eat the same thing the whole week. We can’t choose the delivery time but that wasn’t an issue for me. Meal are served daily at 07:00 , 12:00 and 18:00. The wifi is working good & bed is comfortable and very large. There was a very small issue with Room Service during my stay but they were once again very reactive and professional to solve the problem which is the most important at the end. Quarantine is not fun at all but I am fully satisfied with my experience here, well I have to say that I can’t wait to check out haha but I will be happy to come back here for a leisure stay whenever I’m back in Bangkok.
Thanks again to the team !

I’ve used them before, most recently in August 2023, they’re ok, never had an issue with them but just keep in mind they will be unlicensed/unregulated.
The hotel can order you a city one and it will be around 500 baht. Or download the application called Grab which is Asias version of Uber.
Yes, the cleaner will leave one bottle per person on the side of the room furniture free on a daily basis but it will not be refrigerated.
You can also buy more chilled bottles of water etc from a seven eleven store locally very cheaply.
Brilliant hotell caters for all allergies, just make the hotel and restaurant manager know. However, I would say if the allergy is significant you may want to bring and wear either cotton gloves or latex because they eat a lot of peanuts there 'may' be residue on door handles, shop merchandise etc. But you will enjoy the Rembrant. Beware of the water in the fridge/mini bar it's 150usd. But there is free water also just don't get them mixed up.
Good place to eat is a small restaurant across the street at back of hotel between laundrette and massage. By the way massage is excellent, try it.
