We arrived early and had to wait for our room in the bar in reception which was unmanned even though we were advised we could get hot drinks. Finally got our room and were pleasantly surprised and impressed, large room, well furnished. all good. Restaurant we only used for breakfast but it was modern and the breakfast good selection. Pool... More

Mixed feelings about the Rembrandt. It is in a good location for SkyTrain or underground (5 minutes walk), rooms were clean, nicely furnished, comfy bed, quiet & reasonably good shower. The vast lobby is a bit impersonal & reception staff not particularly friendly. The cooked breakfast choice was poor. Overall there is nothing wrong with the Rembrandt that a refurb... More

The room was really lovely, spotlessly clean, its a very laid back type of hotel, with a piano player at night, we didnt have a drink at the bar, because we wanted to explore the city, but i thought it was very cold in the foyer and around the bar, but others loved the cold, because it was really hot... Overall this hotel is very tired (old) and you can feel it since you get in. Location is ok and the tuk tuk service is good. Room is very old fashion (OLD) and the bathtub look dirty with a lot of scratch fixed very badly. The shower loss water and even ask to fix no one showed up in 3... More

On Arrival in April 2015 was our first Bangkok experience for 3 nights, so we didn't really know what to expect after hearing a mix review on the smell and area. I can say what a brilliant hotel well looked after, brilliant rooms and views. The bar area is a bit pricey but expected in hotels. we were greeted by... More

Breakfast selection was varied and very good. Rooms were good though not up to its sister hotel in NYC, (part of the Warwick group). I think it needs updating. Staff was pleasant. Numerous small restaurants close by and of course the ubiquitous massage parlours.

This was my first trip to Thailand and I was impressed by the location as it was just off the main road and also a ten minute walk from the subway. I was however on my honeymoon and very disappointed that no effort had been made by the staff to leave flowers on the bed a welcome drink etc. There... More

Service was excellent- the hotel in good postion. I enjoyed the pool and the facilities. The decor in rooms and corridors is begining to seem aged but was clean and comfortable. The fre e wifi was fine- fast and no disconnections. Was given a user code to use after i checked out for remainder of day.

We stayed for a 3 day stopover, great hotel quaint decor, good selection at breakfast from 6.30am , pool gets busy due to the heat, one word of warning ...the tuk tuk drivers will insist you stop at one of the tailors, I later found out this is so they get paid in gasoline for dropping you off, if you... I read all the reviews and thought well give it a go and we defiantly weren't disappointed So close to everywhere, as we were at the end of our trip we were kind of chilling but we still managed to get out and about. We didn't eat at the hotel as the options were endless and only a short walk... More

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighborhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
