I visited Royal President Hotel last week for meeting friend for business discussions. It is very close from my residence at Bangkok. Hotel is located in residential area, close to Asok & Nana BTS.When I entered, it was homely feeling. Had some food, test was good. Worth visiting & staying there!

If I didn't know any better I would think this place is being intentionally ran into the ground by the Kingston group. Should it get any worse I'd have to describe it as being in a state of disrepair. I realize that Bangkok is a very transit place with visitors constantly coming in thus stressing properties out. But when items... More

We happened to stay in the unfortunate hotel from 27/1215 to 1/1/16. We were four of us, my husband, me and our two daughters, the younger one was two yrs old. We were given junior suite in the court wing. This court wing is a dingy place situated approx 100 to 200 meters from the main hotel. It's was very... More

Average hotel, room looked good but poor quality. Bathroom was nearly falling apart and I was afraid of having to pay for something that broke itself. Hot water was not always present.A lot of stains on the flood with side black go all over. Service and breakfast was excellent.

This hotel is conveniently located in Sukhumvit area. However, it desperately needs renovating and TLC; old looking corridors, stained walls and carpets, used furniture, AC with mold surrounding it, broken and dangerous mains supply’s, etc. Although rooms are spacious and well equipped, they also have thin walls so we could hear the AC noise from outside working all night long... I booked with their website a delixe room. The furniture in the room wasn't new but the room was huge clean and cozy. The bathroom can be improved, also the staff should check the tub because the water turn out to be yellow (there is also a shower so not a big deal). Breakfast it is ok, not much choice... More

Whilst this review is a little late I felt it worthwhile to comment on our experience. We stayed 3 nights on our way back to Perth from Koh Samui and whilst it maybe unfair to compare a resort to a city hotel nevertheless here goes. Arrival was smooth if you disregarded the aloof staff, room whilst spacious had an overpowering... More

This was our first trip to Bangkok with our 3 kids. When we arrived the lobby is nice and clean. The staff wasn't overly friendly but still nice. We were in the first tower I guess as we reserved a family room. The tiny little elevator is very old and would have errors to get us up and down. As... More

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighborhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
