Have some great pubs on the convent, a starbucks is just 10 footsteps away from the hotel. A very nice massage parlour named SENSO is very...

I use to enjoy staying at the Swiss Lodge on Soi Convent in the Silom area of Bangkok. It is (or was) a great area for shopping, medical check-ups at BNH, resteaunts, bars and near the infamous Patpong district for those so inclined. Swiss Lodge was always a cut about the others in the area such as Silom Serene and...

I was staying in this hotel for 1 night in superior room. Suprisingly, the superior room was big and the bed was large (which i think enough for 3 adults). The room was perfectly clean. The staffs there were nice and warm. Check in was quick. The staffs were willing to help. They gave me detailed direction to the places...

What a great place! The staff are really friendly, the rooms are very very comfortable with every imaginable amenity and for me, an unimaginable luxury - a shelf of books! left behind by travellers and added on by the hotel, there are a selection of books form philosophy to travel to quick racy reads in at least three languages on...

Have stayed here many times over the past 12 years and I always enjoy returning to the Swiss Lodge. It is not a swish, trendy hotel, but it is very comfortable and great value.

Staying in Silom

Neighborhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
