Early this year The Swiss Lodge was rebranded as Le Siam Hotel for licencing reasons. The Hotel is located in Convent Road (Soi 3 Silom Road) a short walk from the Sala Daeng Sky Train station providing easy access to much of Bangkok. There are many restaurants and bars within an easy walk of the hotel and it is a... More

Nice, good value hotel just off Silom Road. Nice room and nice staff, very close to the BTS and MRT stations as well as shopping and bar areas. It's also quite close to Lumphini park. There were renovations when I stayed but this was well flagged in advance. Breakfast room is a bit small for busy periods. Would stay again.

Rebranded from The Swiss Lodge Hotel. The sign outside still showed The Swiss Lodge Hotel so don't get confused. Location is good. It’s between Sathorn and Silom. Customer service was delightful. The reception provided a cold delicious drink and a cold small towel for me to freshen up. It was a welcome respite on a warm day. The hotel seemed... More

I've stayed at the Swiss Lodge on 2 occassions in the past and enjoyed my stays. This time there was extensive renovations going on which ruined my stay. I was aware of the renovations from a previous reviewer, so contacted the hotel before I booked, enquiring when the construction work would end. I received an email from a lady named... More

I chose this hotel because of its location, it was close to the Dusit Thank hotel where I had a conference to attend to. Apart from the location (and the polite receptionists) nothing else was up to standard. There was construction going on, I was jet lagged and wanted to rest but couldn't with all the drilling going on. The... More

Well this will become my favorite BKK hotel for the people, location, cost/quality, conveniences, and just a nice area. Currently undergoing some updating but the Hotel staff are accommodating very well. The area is fabulous with the bells of local schools, charming cafe's, the above ground train (BTS) with a short 5 min walk away but far enough not to... More

The SWISS LODGE is a boutique hotel and is in the heart of Bangkok, just minutes from the BTS Sky train and MRTA underground subway systems. It is sufficiently "small" so that guests feel comfortable and not swamped in a crowd. A healthy breakfast is also supplied. The Swiss Lodge deserves its 4 star rating.

Stayed for a night on the first day of Songkran, a festival celebrating the traditional Thai New Year. The hotel provided tables and chairs outside, along with a temporary bar in front of the hotel for the celebrations. Location is great, as the building is within comfortable walking distance to the BTS station, slightly further on is the MRT station.... More

Staying in Silom

Neighborhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
