We stayed in this hotel 3 nights. The location is very convenient, it is close to the sky train station which is the best way to move around the busy Bangkok city. the staff is friendly and professional. The breakfast is great, we had a lot of choice what to eat. There is two buildings in this hotel, one has...

Stayed here for 3 nights to the start of traveling through Thailand. This was a great place to start! They held our reservation until we arrived at 4am due to delayed air travel, and then they upgraded us for free. In contrast to a recent review, there actually is wi-fi in all of the rooms. You just have to notify...

I've been traveling to BKK so many times, but I thought it was time to try a new hotel as there are so many better options. The beds were rock hard, the pillows were average, there was NO wifi in the room, and I had to leave my building, cross the road to get to breakfast. Service was fairly mechanical,...

First visit to this hotel, located in a very nice neighbourhood on a perpendicular to Sukumvit Rd, 10 minutes from the famous shoppingmall Terminal 21 (Asoke). The hotel has rooms in two adjacent buildnings, I stayed in the smaller one but had a great room, wonderful bed actually, which is rare also in better hotels. The bigger building has an...

Stayed here for a long weekend break - room was clean and stylish, bathroom also spotless. Beds were comfortable, and other in-room facilities good (especially the excellent TV channel selection). In-room electronic safe took my 12" laptop with no problem. The glass desk is a modest size but useful because I needed to do some work while on vacation. The...

We stayed at the Dream hotel in April 2012. The hotel is located in a great area with just a few minutes walk to a lovely shopping mall and the metro station. The hotel foyer is designed in a very stylish and "kitchy" way, which is something different to what most hotels offer. The overall experience we made at Dream...

From the moment you get there, to checkout everything runs smooth. The hotel is very well managed and it shows throughout the staff, room and hotel design. I've stayed in a lot of hotels in the Sukhumvit area and don't know how I've managed to pass up this little gem. I was in a classic single which was perfectly designed in...

I think I'm a pretty fair reviewer (read my recent and rather tough review of an Ubud, Bali hotel) so please don't think I toss an "excellent" rating out there too easily! I usually stay in the Banglapmphu (backpacker/Khao San Road) part of Bangkok but decided to try something different & a little more upscale this time. I stumbled upon...

I have stayed at this hotel many times and have rarely encountered problems. When minor ones have occured the staff have been professional and courteous and found a solution that has been highly satisfactory. I can't fault any of the hotel staff from the maids and waitresses to the reception staff and managers. They are always friendly and warm and...

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighborhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
