It located bit far from the main street but still walkable (takes about 3-5 minutes) and near to 7-11 convenient store. The hotel is kinda 'royal old style' and the room was bit dark, but it was clean, wonderful river scenery and the stuffs also nice. If you drive car, there are parking lots available.

If you want to get away from the heat and hustle of Bangkok central then book into The Royal River and ask for a premier room where you'll get a huge bed and a balcony with a full, uninterrupted river view; this is the best bit of the hotel. The staff are very pleasant but incompetent; it's like staying at...

I recently stayed here for seven nights whilst on a working trip to Bangkok. The hotel was selected for its proximity to where we would be attending our meetings, an important factor given the amazing Bangkok traffic jams. To get into the city we took a taxi to the nearest sky train station at Victory Monument (about 80 baht with...

We always stay in rooms with balconies over the river. I do much with Peace Corps, which is a walk across the bridge, so the place works for me. BUT it is much more. The people are wonderful (okay, so they remember me from year to year), the breakfast buffet is great, the river taxi stops down a short walk...

I stayed here on businesses from July 10th to July 14th. Unlike what some reviewers have said, I found found the staff to be extremely friendly, extremely helpful, and the accommodations quite acceptable. The drive from the airport took 45 minutes by cab. It was 10 pm so traffic was reasonably light. If your cab driver gives you the option...

Took us 3 hours from the airport to this hotel. When we arrived they informed us that they only had 1 hour Internet cards and no internet in the room. Their 24 hour Internet cards finished. Looked empty, old and strange. So we canceled our reservations and left immediately.

“Loyal Liver, you sure?” that’s what he said and now I see how the pre-paid taxi driver from the airport was wise. He charged me 1000 baht and pretended his meter was broken, which I thought was quite over the top until I saw the Royal Rover’s rate of 1,600. This hotel, from the street entrance, actually features a multi-level...

Ok so the worst ever thing about this hotel is the location! Its in the middle of woop woop nowhere! So if you want a place close to all the action, forget about it! The grounds and foyer of the hotel are ok(probably pretty decent 20 years ago) and my room (635) at least needed a general refurbishment. Pretty tired...

Stayed for a week on a business trip. Great hotel - comfortable, clean - everything you might expect in this range. A lot cheaper than comparable hotels in silom or sukhumvit. It is way off the tourist track - although relatively close to the Vimanek mansion and the zoo. If you are a tourist it's probably a good deal as...
