Amazing experience with outstanding service and perfect location. Very friendly and professional staff. Peace haven in a chaotic city. Should we come back to Bangkok, no doubt we would return to Sukhothai.

I stayed at Sukhothai Bangkok for 2 night during my short escape trip last july 2023. I love the hotel’s vibe, environment, facilities and amiable staff. I got my room is Club Balcony with Club Benefit and it was quite huge room with outdoor balcony facing to swimming pool. As club benefit, I was given exclusive check-in desk, afternoon tea, evening cocktail and so on. I was also invited to join Chocolate Buffet at Lobby Salon in The Sukhothai Bangkok and it was nice experience. I think the letdown is just not many food choice at breakfast but I still could enjoyed it and you will find no halal section if you look for. The spa botanica is a must do and I had my own treatment. I would give big thank and appreciation to Khun Ploy and her other colleagues from club room who were really amiable and helpful during my stay. Overall, I am satisfied and it was one of my best hotel stay in Bangkok.

I had stayed in the property many moons back and was really looking forward to coming back after so long, but I must say, after the two nights stay, I had a mixed feelings about the quality of service and overall experience. SETBACKS: 1. One of the window panels in the room was stuck. We had to make a few phone calls to the FO and Housekeeping to get it fixed. 2. For the two days, the breakfast restaurant is always understaffed before 9am. Stations are not manned, empty dirty glasses everywhere by the juice counter, empty shaving dishes, one piece of waffle, one piece of pancake, etc. It’s very disappointing to experience this in a Sukhothai. It doesn’t say luxury at all. The food display looks like I am picking on left overs. Only after 9am, we notice there are more chefs coming out behind the counter. When the executive chef is around, everyone starts to soldier on. 3. The chef manning the egg station does not understand what a over easy is. 4. The same chef also man the noodle bar and I asked him if it’s boat noodle and he doesn’t understand my question 5. The buffet spread is too minimal and generic. Need serious and creative improvement. We moved from Hyatt Regency and this is a massive let down. 6. It’s always a struggle to pair our device to the TV, it takes us 10mins or so to do so. No CNN. 7. Pillows are a bit flat The SAVING GRACE: Overall, great arrival experience. Check in was swift and smooth - unlike in other hotels. FO and Concierge team are super friendly and helpful (love them!). We’re lucky that the newly renovated swimming pool had opened. We went there everyday and it’s always enjoyable to lounge by the poolside every afternoon. The service team there are very attentive and friendly. Housekeeping staff who did our room did an impeccable job. Went down for breakfast, came back to a super clean room. Just within that one hour. Awesomeness! I would rate 3.5 stars for now.

I have written a little more than a handful of reviews in about a dozen years. As I travel extensively on business as well as leisure, I only do so when moved by exceptional service and experience. This is the first time writing a review almost on arrival. I stayed at The Sukhothai Bangkok more than 10 years ago to attend a friend's wedding that was held there - a lovely and elegant event. I chose this hotel because of its serene surroundings sheltered from a vibrant and often hectic city environment. I was truly impressed by the staff at check-in. Despite being nearly fully booked, the manager and the kind lady at the reception desk went above and beyond to find us the best room possible. We were just settling into a room already beyond our expectations when we received a phone call to inform us that there was an even better room if we wished to move. I have never experienced such customer care despite my status in various hotel loyalty programs. There is an inherently different level of service that one feels from all the staff members at The Sukhothai. It is understated where one feels that they are highly sensitive to guests' needs. It feels different than what one feels at the new Four Seasons or the venerable Mandarin Oriental. My family is not even halfway through our visit, but we are already talking about a return visit to The Sukhothai Bangkok.

The staff were all nice and everyone was comfortable, it was a resort type, so it was quite far from the lobby to the room, but there was no problem relaxing But it's a shame that there's no powder room in the sauna 😿 All other five-star hotels have powder rooms, so everything is perfect except for this part

Pros : Big shout out to the excellent very professional staff in each department . The rooms were clean also the pool area dining room etc basically the whole resort top notch. The breakfast was outstanding it literally had everything for every taste European, Asian, Mediterranean and Arabic breakfast a huge variety of food. We also ordered room service and the food was very good. Cons: Thimian ( coffee shop) I ordered an espresso and asked for a glass of water I was very suprised about the fact that the coffee didn’t come with a glass of water. This was odd to me and a lack of service and definitely needs an improvement. In Italy you get a glass of water automatically served with espresso the idea behind is simply to rinse off the long lasting after taste . So I ordered a bottle of water . It was funny to me that the water was served like a wine come on it’s just water . The bill was 15 Euro in my opinion this was a ripoff just because it’s a 5 star resort doesn’t mean to charge it 8 times more than in Rom . Celadon: Apparently voted as the best Restaurant in BKK according to travel & leisure . Our food was not good and that was the reason why I canceled the dessert. The sea bass was not fresh I had better food eating at the flooding market. I guess the high price tag it’s for the ambiance . Overall I would stay here again and would recommend it but I would avoid Celadon and the coffee shop . The have a Nespresso machine in the room by the way.

We had an amazing winetasting in Zuk Bar in Sukhothai Hotel and were pampered with delicious Italian wines and fresh snacks! The wines have been well chosen and had all a very good taste for us winelovers! The dinner at La Scala was outstanding! Typically Italian with intermediate pasta course to main - fantastic beef! We had a fantastic evening with very very good food and enjoyed to be served and pampered by the bar and restaurant waiters who kept an eye on us all the time. We can highly recommend this experience and will come back - for sure!! Kop khun ka Ibu Arunika for showing us this beautiful hotel!!

"Our first The Sukhothai Bangkok experience" We were invited by Ms. Arunika Ekawati (Director of Spa & Wellness), our old friend from Phnom Penh. It was an idea to celebrate my son SAMMY belated birthday at CELADON restaurant. This hotel is absolutely beautiful, from the building structure, the service and the food. It is "ART". Complimenting to our dinner, traditional Thai dance show was playing and it was crafted beautifully. We enjoy every moment including taking pictures and tour around the entire hotel. The hospitality from Khun Pim, Bam and Korn from Celadon made us feel we are in Indonesia. Khun Bam even speak little "Bahasa". Madon - Sukhothai, we will come back. TIPS: 1. Dimsum Crap - starter 2. Morning Glory - veggy 3. Soft Shell Crap - dish 4. Crap fried rice - dish 5. Fried Banana & Mango Sticky Rice - dessert
