My husband introduced me to the Mandarin Oriental last year. What can I say! In my opinion the best hotel in the world, the staff here are exceptional. From top management (who you see often out and about the hotel who are very engaging) to all the team who work here they strive to make your stay the best and... More

Tried green curry and pork with crispy basil, fried fish with sweet chilli sauce, everything there is so prefect if you really want to try the traditional flavour, and the service there is so nice and friendly. Highly recommended!

We arrived very early and our room was ready for us without question. Exemplary butler service as ever. Every contact with a staff member is a delight. This hotel is addictive. I've stayed here since 1973 when I was a baby and have grown up and older with many of the same staff. Their loyalty to the hotel and its... More

Spend a sophisticated night at Mandarin Oriental Bangkok is always on my wish list and I have made it. MO Bangkok is truly a legendary after 140-year established in Bangkok. I hearty gave top score for everything from A-Z. Impressive arrival with hotel team line up to greet all the guests, lead you directly to your room, butler prepared and... More

I've stayed here about half a dozen times, with my wife and on business. Always want to come back! Great staff, history, restaurants, river location, bars - truly a classic in every way. Definitely visit the Author's Lounge and the Bamboo Bar. The other food outlets are also excellent, but it's the atmosphere and level of service that raises the... More

The service is excellent from the moment we check-in to the hotel. From the lobby butler to the reception to the housekeepers are all very friendly and service oriented. But can be a little too overwhelming for me as I always preferred to be a DIY person and call service as and when I needed. The room is spacious and... More

I stayed at the hotel just for the experience. The butler was a bit overkill, but the fees for his services were worse. To many staff on hand, a little uptight. I prefer the warmer service at Shangri La in Bangkok. The room was very nice with a beautiful Chao Praya view, but being awakened at three in the morning... More

From the moment you walk in, be prepared to be whisked back to the type of service that once sorted kings and queens, holly wood celebrities, literary legends, titans of industry and families that just want to disappear in the heaven that the Mandarin Oriental Bangkok ha maintained for years. IMPECCABLE ROOM. Insanely attentive and anticipatory butler service, the finest... More

You have expectations when booking at historical hotels such as this where tradition and brand go, for once, hand in hand. Service is as good as you expected to be, management present, proactive attentive. I witnessed the GM and subordinates taking increasingly corrective actions toward some families with particularly unruly children. About the rooms: furniture surely needs some refreshing and... Staying in Silom

Neighborhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
