The hotel is within a 10 min cab ride of Asiatique, a popular eating and shopping place for tourist and locals. The hotel is an old property with room furniture very basic and outdated. Old style TV and bed is on hard side. Restaurant staff are friendly as most Thais are but they are not very attentive. The gym is... More

We are checking out in a couple hours... out stay was great. The hotel isn't of best shape but nothing really bad either. Nice and polite staff, breakfast buffet is very consistent with quality food. Perfect for someone who likes spice and is adventurous and someone that has a bland palet. We enjoyed our stay.

We were on a 29 day Grand Circle Travel tour of Japan / China / Thailand. The Montien Riverside Hotel, is a very elegant 27 story hotel right on the Chaophraya river. The hotel is around 20 years old with a lobby and dining area styled in a palace format (big everything). Our room 2517 (executive floor) is very large... More

The hotel is located quite far off the city where it is quiet without traffic or party noises. Just besides the Chao Phraya River so the view is absolutely great. Hotel service is okay. Room is comfortable but the interior and the rooms looks a a little tired. Breakfast is quite standard.

This place is totally worn out - maybe this Was a great hotel, but is sertanly NOT anymore. Further, the location is bad. It is far from everything, and many taxi drivers wont take you there by the taximeter! Lastly we had some issues with breakfast not being included - but i Think that might the agency fault, not the... More

I had an 8 night stay at the Montien, on a business trip, & really enjoyed the Hotel. The staff are friendly, as I expect in Thailand. The room was a good size, with double Windows, overlooking the river. Breakfast was more than adequate, with a good choice for all tastes. People complain about the location, but I took a... More

Its true this is an older hotel but its very well maintained. The lobby is classy and the main restaurant has nice views of the gardens and river. The room was excellent....very comfortable with great views of the Chao Phraya river and bridges.....very pretty at night. It was very quiet and we were able to get a good nights sleep.... More
